I give up... unclaiming.

So the whole VA review appears to be a waste of time...
I got a copy of the "confidential" medical exams. So, the MSC went through the last 18 years of my medical record, identified stuff that had occurred and set up appointments. Obviously, over 18 years, I've had a few things... its funny what the VA assessors make of this at their appointments. Here is a summary:
Hearing Loss due to documented weapons trauma: after 4 months in language school, disqualified due to inability to hear the recorded oral boards as a result of previous weapons trauma. Worked up at Audio, fitted with hearings aids, life is good. VA synopsis: test unreliable, not providing a rating. The "dr" I saw, was a total ass to begin with. But I drove two hours to do a 5 minute test. He talked during the recording, only used about 6 of the required 50 words, then states in his write up basically I was uncooperative and he repeated instructions numerous times. I refuse to do anymore tests with these clowns. I have my hearing aids, nothing else needed.

- Tendonitis, documented: Doc says no impact
- Reoccurrant dislocation of my thumb(can't hold anything heavy or it pops out). Demonstrated this for doc, then relocated the thumb. Doc says no impact
- Mid Back pain from torn rhomboid - Doc says no impact because I'm a runner
- Low Back pain from exagerrated lumbar - Doc says no impact because I'm a runner
- Epiliepsy(referred condition) - doc says I had seizures as a child... I NEVER said that, at all. But its in her write up.
- Migraines - Doc says don't rate because its only in my record once
- Broken toe that wasn't set right - no impact due to being a runner

Basically, everything they looked at was either "no impact" or disregarded. I refuse to go to another appointment after this... if they need more evidence, I will just unclaim everything. What a complete waste of time; they definitely didn't need me present to make the annotations that they did.

I hope my board comes back fit so I can finsh the last couple of years and retire without these clowns, but I feel a screwing coming on.

Bad idea, request a new C&P exam if you can, which I think you can... Toss me a bone guys!!! Help support this guy on the appeals process!!!

You do not even have letters in hand yet. wait for your first chance to appeal. Look the VA is in deep water right now and im sure it is allready being felt to the lowest receptionist. On top of that you got the BS auto cuts coming because none of our congressman ( both sides) can agree on stuff. Now is not the time to give up, maybe sit back awhile, stp reading this forum and others for a few weeks. Dwell on the good in your life and then attack with both barrels when your recharged.

Thre is an appeal process at at every level. Also the VA has its own IG and from the VA website you submit an IRIS inquiry that goes to the regional directors office. The statement above is true, pressure is coming down from on high from the DVA and DOD. If you have a local news station that has a "call to action" then go to them, just have your ducks in a row and make sure you are covered legally. LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF and don't give up. This may be a case where the "squeaky wheel" syndrome may work.

Don't give up, that is exactly what the system wants you to do! I agree with grizz13, request a new C&P. Read the rating worksheets for your claimed illnesses. Be prepared, be cooperative, and appeal until you prevail!
