3-June 2022 - Diagnosed with IBS and asthma

20- June 2022 - Referred to AMRO for tracking of conditions.

3 July 2022 - DAWG agrees to press with IRILO and apply code 37.

6 July 2022 - Initial brief with PEBLO. (do not retain) written and submitted to PEBLO.

late jul 2022 - NARSUM completed and sent to PEBLO IRILO submitted to AFPC.

2 aug - 2022 - full MEB directed.

18 aug - 2022 - meet VA rep and scheduled all appointments

30 aug - 15 sep VA appointments

18 sep 2022 - VA rep released exams to PEBLO. PEBLO began working on package.

25 sep 2022 - Local board agreed to continue with full MEB. Signed 618 with PEBLO acknowledging local board’s decision.

25 sep 2022 - 20 feb 2023 - Dead silence (I ended up contacting my local congressmen for some sort of movement) I also contacted VERA and my file was sitting on some dudes desk not even rated for months so my file was marked with congressional interest and that really got things moving

2 Mar 2023 - myFSS notification, I was also contacted by my peblo that same day with my rating 30% DOD 100% VA

13 Mar 2023 still waiting for orders.. I was told it should take 10 days total for my orders to populate ( I assume business days) I wish i can make this part move faster

I first called his office to see if i can schedule a meeting but when that didn’t work i I nded up finding a email for his military liaison about 2 days after I sent the memorandum to him I was contacted by the liaison and got a face to face meeting with my congressman and he really put some pressure on the VA because they started doing crap at light speed of you want dm me I can send you the template I used to type mine out

Do you have to do VA appointments regardless of whether or not the Air Force retains you while awaiting MEB results?

Honestly I’m not sure, I wasn’t retained so i just finished all my VA appointments and continued down the MEB route
