So it's no secret the IDES dashboard is by no means reliable. While logically I understand this, theres still a part of me that wants to believe it. For weeks it said 0 days remaining. This has been an on again off again issue.

Today I logged in out of curiosity since it has been 1 month since I recevied my unfit verdict. It now says that I am in the VA rating stage but that only 8 days have elapsed. Where is the other 2 weeks I have been waiting. It also says step completed, but I HIGHLY doubt that is even possible.

Please ground me with your knowledge because I'm freaking out over here.

Yesterday my dashboard said that I was completed. There are no timelines from the PEB findings to the Transition phase. Benefits says 5 days. How can I be done when I haven't even received a 199 to tell me whether I am fit or unfit?! So yes,
the dashboard and eBenefits are a joke at best.

Wow, seems like a lot of people have issues. It's unfortunate because in theory it's a great way to track progress, but sadly it's nothing but unreliable. I just hope that I have actually been waiting since the 28th instead of the 9 days the tracker is counting. I was assuming that the rating process would have started withing a few days of unfit finding, but the tracker says 2.5 weeks lapsed. Who knows.

i know ebenefits is a joke.. ive been on "review of evidence" since i created the account and ive been waiting for ratings for 35 days. but what is this dashboard thing?

Mine has been in the "Prep for Decision" phase for awhile. And I JUST got my package sent to the IPEB last week! I haven't been found fit/unfit yet. So confusing!

IDES dashboard is a MEB tracker located on AKO. I am active Duty army. I'm not sure if other branches have the same system.

The dashboard appears to be updated by the PEBLO. Its only as accurate as what info they give it. Mine has been pretty good however. There was a bit of a delay between my exams complete and meb complete because the PEBLO didn't get any info until the MEB was done. If nothing else, it gives a estimated time of seperation so I can keep commander informed, even if we both know it gives a moving target. It even gives you a reason for that estimate, based off how long the average Soldier took. Some idea is better than none, I wish ebenefits at least pretended to have some idea of average wait times.

Just so you know, VA has to finish the rating before a fit/unfit finding is published. People I talked to a year ago, their ratings weren't started until the PEB gave them an initial fit/unfit (unpublished) determination that was subject to change after the ratings came back. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Prep for decision is an indication that the VA received the C&P results and is working on the rating, this phase was hit for me before my narsum was signed. VA isn't waiting on the PEB, they're just doing their thing as soon as they get the info needed, the C&P results. My narsum said migraines were not subject to change so the PEB said PDRL. VA never got the narsum, I suspect, so they said my migraines need a re-exam in 5 years.

Same deal here unfortunately. My med board started 3 DEC 2013 and was in gathering evidence phase until 28 august 2014. But I had received my unfit memo in Jun 2014. It's frustrating but it will get done with a positive result. Just remember one more step one more REP.

Very good info scout. I hope they were working on my ratings the whole time. I had a lot of legal troubles between C&P and unfit. I had to fight, and got everything straightened out. On Monday my ebenefits changed to pending decision approval, and yesterday it went back to reviewing evidence.

I called the VA, and they said my claim is closed, and a letter would be mailed to me. I hope this is the case. I am now patiently waiting on my PEBLO to contact me.

Ghost our timeline is very close. I started NOV 2013

Good info Scout. This was extremely confusing -- I hadn't signed my narsum yet but my ebenefits was already prep for decision. I suppose it will sit there until I am found fit/unfit now.
