I am not, I'm on Miramar. I think we double tap on a lot of the same personnel involved in the process though. That's good news! I wasn't expecting 100% and would definitely like to keep it
100% is a blessing i know that this time sucks so much (its really fucking me up, im going through a lot of stress from the Marine corps right now) but that is a life changing percentage to get, Im really happy to hear that you didnt get ignored or screwed over by the VA and got what you deserved, hopefully that will make thing after this period in life much better !
Yeah man, I get the stress part. This has put me coming up on 80 days over my EAS at this point just sitting here stuck waiting for answers. Of course it's in the middle of inspection prep season too lol. I've just been trying to be positive and use the extra time to plan/set myself up for success. I hope things work out for you as well! All of that stress will be gone when you get out.
What's the longest you guys have seen someone be in QA for (numbered days) I just called my PEBLO again and confirmed I've officially been in QA for 49 days excluding the start date and today's date and 51 days including those days. I'm not too sure but I remember someone saying the longest they saw as of lately was 56 days.

I'd called the PEB before Christmas and was told that the longest QA case was sitting at like 56 days. (I think you got that number right.), However, I just received an update yesterday that suggests that I was in QA for 70 days.

Your case is the oldest I can remember seeing on the forum that hasn't been resolved for Navy/USMC. (Unless you got your findings and I missed it) I imagine the holidays have skewed our timelines a bit. Hopefully now that personnel are back (I remember seeing something about them coming back the 8th) the PEB will end up pushing out a wave of findings in the coming weeks.

I haven't received findings yet. The update that I got from the PEBLO yesterday evening was:
" Just wanted to provide you with a courtesy update on your DES cas. According to the status report we received today, your case is in the QA Ready Post VA Stage for 49 days. This means that the PEB has preliminary found you Unfit to Continue Service and is requesting the disability rating for the unfitting medical condition. I say "Preliminary" because these are not your official PEB findings. This email serves as an update and to afford you advance notice for planning purpose before we receive your official findings. Once the VA finalizes their rating they will return your case to the PEB. We will typically receive the findings 3-4 weeks after that. At that time you will have 15 calendar days to review the PEB finding and either accept or appeal."
It was greatly unhelpful because it doesn't make sense to me that the PEB is waiting for ratings from the VA, when I've had proposed ratings since 02Nov. Also, the PEB said that I should receive all of my findings in a week to week and half from last Friday, 05Jan.
Take that as you will though. No-one seems to know anything and random numbers are being thrown around it seams.

I would imagine that the PEB has already received your final VA rating back. I called around the same time my case got put into QA (NOV 18th?) and the PEB guy told me that it usually only takes 36 hours to get that back from the VA. I might have misunderstood him but my impression was that the thing he was talking about was what your email is referencing. I really wish the communication on this was more clear though, from an outside perspective it just seems like the extended wait comes from the backlog and case quantity.

Spoke to IDES lawyer again today about LOTS of information regarding separation versus retirement.
In the midst of it he informed me that he is handling a case where November 15th he went into “ready” QA and got his final ratings TODAY and told me I went in “ready” QA Nov 22nd meaning I should only have a week! But to be mindful that sometimes they randomly take longer, hope this helps someone around my timeline.
(QA “ready” is after you were found unfit and it went BACK to the PEB)
Also, I am at four years TIS and Ill be at four and a half feb 26 2024 he told me that if you stay four and a half you get 10x base pay but any less than that 8x base pay for separation versus retirement

When I got ahold of the PEB ages ago (Nov 16thish?) it was right when they sent my stuff back to the VA. When he explained it to me it was pretty much what you said, he told me 36-ish hours turn around to get the VA results and then it goes into QA and to expect a 45 day period there. I'm spitballing on timelines here from a positive outlook but we should all be around 45-50ish days in QA, which means we should be hearing stuff in the next few weeks, especially if the personnel returning this week from the holiday period bit was true
My VA claim closed November 11th. I called into the PEB and got told about him requesting for my DOD rating November 17th. No actual news since then, my peblo has been unreachable since I signed my narsum. Just spitballing here but my assumption is that the 36 hour bit was a stretch and I got into QA sometime the week after, so around the 20th of November.

If I don't get news by next friday I'll start calling out to the PEB and trying to see where I'm at. I'm just not expecting much news to hit for this week or the week after just because of the MLK holiday and the return from previous holidays.

When i was asking my IDES attorney about longest cases he had someone that has been QA for 80 days and he said it seems random but some people do just have to deal with the longer timeline
Ouch. I was pushed to the PEB (completed MEB) on Dec 15th and am anxiously awaiting my VA findings. I hate checking every day because I am driving myself insane!
