IDES Timeline

From what I’ve been seeing, a lot of mental health cases are the last ones to come back. I think keeping any service member in while they are unfit for duty is a liability, not just mental health. There are a lot of commands that refuse to accept medical limitations, whether it be physical or mental.
My command is requiring me to be in FEP so they really don’t care about physical limitations. I agree with you there. Literally have told my Chief that the stress is tremendously impacting my cognitive abilities and he still says that he doesn’t feel like my performance has faltered. Umm what???! Yes it has! I have the command work eval to prove it in contrast to last year’s evaluation. They are trying to get all they can out of me

I'm beginning to wonder if submission date has anything to do with it, or if there are other factors that go in to how they are processed.

I'm sorry to hear that they even recommended FEP if you have physical issues!
I am also a vaccine refusal, so they make us all do bullshit work like pulling weeds, being on the ground hands/knees kind of work, and I have 4 herniated discs and incomplete paralysis as well as a knee issue on my left side and they still bitch at me and ask why I'm not doing what they ask lmao. That's just the tip of the iceberg for me. The nuclear training command is one of the worst, sucks that I'm stuck here.

The Navy will literally will take everything they can from you, even when they know you're getting out. It's really a shame and has really made me realize this is not an organization I want to be apart of whether I was fit or unfit. I pray that everyone waiting 100+ days gets something back soon, because this process will take whatever it can from you and then some. Stay strong, the end is in sight.

Seriously. It seems to have changed drastically over the last 6 months

What I notice is my submission date in MOL is the day it got to the MO. I think the more accurate count is counting the MO date than counting the day it was sent to the PEB.

The moment I was mentally finished with the Navy was this passed December. My TA waivers submitted to my command in October never even left the Chief level to be endorsed by my XO or CO and in December Navy college said please just submit what you have at this point. TA denied and I’m stuck with over $6,600 to pay to my school. Now I have to touch my GI Bill due to the fact that I’m not trying to touch my savings especially if I’m likely to separate. Navy Marine Corps Relief Society only authorized me a $1000 loan that they started taking repayments this month. Due to the fact that I can only extend 6 months at a time I couldn’t get a higher loan and because my extension ends in April. This past year has been a nightmare. Don’t even get me started on how my command violated my convalescent leave period last year. It’s literally been a sh*t show and I’m tired of getting clowned. I literally stack my appointments up to avoid going to work. Sorry for the rant, I just feel like I can finally say what’s bothering me and not be judged or have the blame directed at me on this forum.

I agree. Once it’s >accepted < by the PEB maybe is where the number of days it’s been sitting in the medical officer queue comes in. It’s absolutely ridiculous that an October case is adjudicated before my July 2nd case, that’s an entire 3 month difference

OCTOBER?!! How the hell

Don’t believe he was talking about an October submission. Just that in October he found out the friend was 3-days MO ahead of him, overall. Looks like they are both July submissions, actually.

I’m really sorry to hear about all that. Shoot me a PM if you ever need to talk! This is a place to reach out to others for assistance while we go through this terrible process

Hello everyone I’ve tried posting this exact same post seeking some advice but I’m new here.
I made a post previously on mr perry page but he told me to make a post.
I was ordered a fit for duty exam. Examed lasted for about 30 mins. The Dr wrote he’s recommending for MEB. He also states in direct that it’s in attribute to patellofemoral disease and that his bilateral knee pain is a disqualifying condition IAW to AR 40-501 paragraph 3-23e.

Radiographs:
Bilateral knee X-ray: Patella Alta- small bone with patellar tendon near the insertion on the right knee.
Right Knee MRI: Type III Wilberg Patella increased signal on lateral fat pad consistent with fat pad impingement syndrome.
Left knee MRI: Type III Wilberg Patella small area of bone edema on anteromedial corner of medial femoral condyle.
Those were the results with testing and overall diagnosis chondromalacia in left and right knee.

I got hurt while in Airborne training but pushed through and couldn’t handle the pain anymore.
I have been with this injury for over 7 months, 3 months of physical therapy, knee injections prp and then lastly I was told to go home and think about my career goals with my wife to make a decision about possible MEB. I choose the MEB and that’s why they sent me for a Fit for Duty doc. Has anyone here had the experience with this diagnosis?
What should I expect from PA now? Should I go back and see him after this or he calls?
Thank you all for the sacrifice and service offered to this country!!

166 days with the MO today. My PEBLO left back in October so I lost my way of figuring out if it has moved past the MO. She was actually really good too.

Yeah, I think he is referencing the tracker that was posted in October.

A good PEBLO is rare, I'm sorry she left

Are you at Charleston too? I know they use the nuke students for all the dirty work there. It's like you are on restriction huh.
