Yup still waiting on DOD rating/Findings. VA is done.@Hins116 and @downandoutsailor21 did you guys see your findings yet or you are waiting for that?
It’s not true. My buddy got his back today and there are like 3-4 people on the FB groups who got findings back this week. There’s a post on the FB page saying the DoD system is down. For what it’s worth. Could be Ricky rumor
If you are in IDES the DOD MUST use the VA ratings. I don't see it as much of a gamble. The odds of getting a lower rating through a VARR are very low. Also, you don't have another exam. A VARR is just asking the VA to reconsider ratings and you submit with it evidence that the condition should be rated higher. So a letter from your your Doctor stating the symptoms and how they more align with VA's symptoms for 70% etc. If your rating of 50% is not correct I would do the VARR. You only get one shot at this.Hello everyone. I am a 17 year active duty service member. I have been fighting bipolar 2 and ptsd for years now. Regretfully, I finally sought help for multiple suicide attempts last year and thus the bipolar 2 and ptsd diagnosis. I was found unfit last week at 50% DOD PDRL and 100% VA. When I did the QTC appointment, the VA Doc wrote that he did not believe me to be bipolar 2 and I merely suffered from mild depression. The VA is denying the bipolar and only rating me at 50%. The lawyer said the DOD leans heavily on the VA rating and thus 50% DOD. The lawyer thinks I should appeal and request the VA to reevaluate my condition and raise me to 70% because I meet the criteria and the DOD even stated on my findings that there was a disagreement in diagnosis. He says that when the VA comes back at 70% it will cause the PDRL to also be readjusted to 70%, which for me, is an increase of 1500 a month above the VA monetary value of 100%. I want to fight it; however, I am not a gambling man. So the question I present to the audience is if I fight this could the DOD move me to TDRL or even come back with a lower rating? Should I just except and move on? I really need advice. Thank you for your time.
Yeah like someone else said, def not true. I know of 6 people that got their stuff this week alone hahaThere’s a post on the FB page saying the DoD system is down. For what it’s worth. Could be Ricky rumor
30-45 days after your last day. Some people get it the next week I’ve heard thoughHow long is severance taking these days?
VA isn’t fully complete until you turn in your DD-214Hi everyone. So mid March I was found unfit and got my VA proposed rating. Yesterday my Peblo called and said he had my dod rating and to come sign it next week, but said the va isn’t finalized yet. I thought the va was done before the dod, so I’m confused. Also, my dod rating was for temporary retirement, does that mean the va will be temporary as well, or could it be permanent? Thanks.
Hi there! I’m being med boarded for bipolar disorder, package sent to DC mid December. When talks about diagnosis were in the works with my psychiatrist he did tell me that for mood disorders the military typically doesn’t create waivers for them, meaning unfit is the usual outcome. Of course nothing is 100 percent certain but hopefully that can ease your mind a bit. Once your findings come back and you sign them your new EAS should be 90 days out from signing, I’ve been seeing on this forum as well as my command people are getting their new EAS a month or longer after signing their findings.. so with terminal and everything they have about a month for checkout. There’s a report that comes out on Tuesday called a JDETS that shows where you are in the process (MO,PO, QA review,) you should be able to ask your PEBLO about it. Unfortunately mine isn’t the greatest so I’m not sure who I’m with in DC. Hoping for findings soon!Case Timeline so far

This process is absolutely grueling. I was diagnosed with Cyclothymia which is basically bipolars little brother. I am prescribed 1200 mg of Lithium per day. My NARSUM states not going out to see, no duty, no more than 6 hour work day, amoungst other restrictions due to the medications and the diagnosis. I’m so worried they are going to find me fit. From what I hear, if you made it to medboard they will 99% of the time find you unfit. Sucks because I have no idea what to do with my family and no one can give any insight on when we might have a decision. I was told when my package was uploaded by my PEBLO 7 months but who knows. Anyways I’m just trying to plan on what to do with my family and really life lol. Does the statement above about the findings, is that actually true? Thank you to all. I’ve learned a lot from you guys so far.
Thank you. This process is so confusing.VA isn’t fully complete until you turn in your DD-214
Damn, I wish I were one of those people lol30-45 days after your last day. Some people get it the next week I’ve heard though
Thanks for that info. As of right now which my PEBLO has been great my package has been with MO for 70 days. I know this is a waiting process so we will se how it goes.
