I have recieved my IFEB paperwork back. And I am just curious, how these people can come up with a decision on my condition, when I am still recieving treatment from a military Dr. ? doesn't seem right that they r attempting to push me out, when I have treatment still in progress. And I recieved paperwork yesterday and it's due back Monday.

They offered up discharge with severance, E-6 at 15 yrs, and 10% or early retirement that i may start collecting at 62 y/o, i'm 39.
They only looked at my knee, but in my records in sleep apnea, cpap dependant, now just found out I'm also type 2 diabetic. I recieved surgary after meb. i am currently on conv. leave. have a follow up in March, then more then likely the dr. was talking about doing nerve tests, due to my knee down falling asleep. the board said i have degenerative changes and knee pain

I don't understand the early retirement as anyone can retire at 62. You can always appeal and attempt to gain 30% which equals permanent retirement as opposed to 20% or below which means severance.

Best to you.

The sleep apnea was not viewed as disqualifying so that was why you were not rated on it. I was told of somebody (rumors?) who was MEB for sleep apnea because he was not deployable. I stated that I know of people being deployed. Long story short, where do you get the distilled water at a deployed location? My response, you don't need the humidifier (bloody nose a coming). Just a thought.

If you feel that all your problems are not being adequately looked at, I would appeal, even more so since you have had surgery.

Since I last posted I have been diagnosed with high BP ; not enough to be rated. I also have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The paperwork for diabetic l.o.d. is currently underway. But incomplete and my hearing is today. Will get back later and give you guys the results.

At you FPEB, raise the issue if all your conditions were not covered in your MEB with full clinical data (per DoDI 1332.38) or if your conditions did not contain the minimum data from the applicable VA AMIE worksheets (14 October 2008 DTM).

Went as expected. They refused my request for two month extension and then threw out everything that I needed more time to get the paperwork on. And their reasons were not enough paperwork. Jerks. The battle continues on.
