After six months of waiting for my NARSUM and whatnot, I finally got it but unfortunately, my DES Lawyer found a discrepancy with it and had me do an IMR even though I didn't want to do it due to how long the NARSUM took. Now I have regrets about agreeing to it because I have a feeling the IMR is going to push the process till probably the end of next year who knows .

Who knows the time limit for IMR or has anyone had or experienced the same problem?

You will never regret staying in longer to fight for the best outcome. My wife was in IDES for 14 months. Every part of it was appealed. She cried many nights and just asked me to stop pushing her to get what she deserves. It was very stressful and many times she did want to give up and accept and move on.

Now 3 years later I asked her about the experience. She is very glad she didn't give in and settle for less than she deserved. That extra compensation now makes our life much less stressful in retirement. That best outcome result was due to adding an unfitting condition, raising a % via a VARR and getting combat related added which required NARSUM Rebuttals and FPEB.

I always ask people when they are in a stressful situation this one question. How do you imagine you will feel 5 years from now when you look back at this time? I have yet to find someone that has went through this process and regretting vigorously fighting for their benefits. On the other side, there are too many people that I lost count that have said they concurred and later regretted it. All because they wanted to get out as soon as possible instead of staying in for as long as it took to get the best result.

I appreciate your encouragement brother , it sucks but it's for the better.
