I am a non-probational officer with 9yrs in. I received GOMOR for misconduct, then had show cause board/BOI. I was working with TDS and decided to submit a resignation in lieu of elimination. I wanted to get out as fast as possible as my obligation was finish and now near my ETS date. Throughout the whole process which was started in Sep 2020 TDS made it sound that soon I will be out quickly. Now, 10 months after, finally my resignation was approved by the CG and on its way to HRC. Some told me that it has to go to the Army Review Board Agency and it may take up to 18-22 weeks. Others said it may not have to go to the ARBA and may only take 6-8 weeks. I signed a job contract and now waiting anxiously to be released from service. I am stationed OCONUS and waiting to return to the states. I was wondering how long does the process take at HRC and if it has to go to ARBA, anything I can do to expedite this process. I talked to a civilian attorney and he said it could take up to 9 months. I would greatly appreciate any input about the wait time.
