IPEB Findings in! Over 20 & have questions

Morning!
First off, still waiting on attorney and only have a couple days left to sign/accept findings...

I was refered for 2 conditions
One was 60%
Other not rated, found fit (but doesn't make sense why)

Being over 20, should I even fight this? Retirement is capped at longevity, so I don't think it will make a difference. Thoughts?

If over 20 I don't see any reason to fight it since you will max out your compensation with CRDP.

The only reason I would fight it if the one condition that was found fit was combat related. So if the unfit condition isn't combat related and the one found fit was combat related I would try to add it since if you have a higher DOD% than your earned longevity and one or more condition is found combat related your pension is exempt from federal taxes which would net you more compensation.

Both conditions were developed while deployed....but the findings did not show combat related since I was not diagnosed until I returned from deployment and went to the hospital to be tested.

If not combat related then I would just accept or if your IDES attorney thinks there is a chance the FPEB would change it then I would go for it. Remember that combat related isn't that a condition happened while in a combat zone. Combat related is more strict and harder to get than just that the condition developed while deployed.

@Provis .. unfit condition(s) that are combat related and higher than earned longevity isn't the same as CRSC right?
