I was first called by my PEBLO in September 2015 to inform me of the IDES process.

Dec 2015 I went through my C&P exams...

Around the new years 2016 my package was sent off

Jan 2015 I was found unfit

Feb 28 I was given my ratings back 60% VA and 30% DOD. (30% Syringomyelia, 30% Mirgraines, 10% tinnitus, 10% carpel tunnel, 10% sinusitus and with the VA math it comes to 64% which is 60%.

I have had no complaints for the most part during this process. Now, I am told I'll get my order in 2-3 weeks and be out soon. It has truly been a smooth process that seem to go quick...

To get to the IDES process through my base was like pulling teeth. But, eventually they couldn't throw my case under the rug anymore...

I did not appeal my case at any stage...Would this be a reason my case seemed to go so quickly?

I have almost the same timeline as you (I am Air Force) . No appeals. Awaiting orders currently.

I didn't appeal anything and signed all paperwork they day I got it. You can see by my timeline below that you were very lucky compared to me.

Yeah thats extremely fast.... took mine 4 months to get through the peb.

I have called once a week and checked my status, ebenefits does not ever change status since day 1 for me and my PEBLO says it is at the VA waiting on ratings still. It was sent to the MEB Sep. 16, 2015, and I still do not have ratings yet.

The process is different per person, I don't think they have a system in which they review packages and I believe they get them mixed up and see whichever package is next on their desk, even if they get stacked. Mine was not a complicated case.

For me when the ebenefits status changed and I had a historical claim that was accurate. I got the ratings one month from when the historical claim closed out date. Timeline below. Best of luck.

If yours is abnormally fast then you should see mine so far. I have known a lot of people that went through medical boards and theirs took no less than 8 months. Within 3.5 weeks of starting the board process I will have completed my C&P Exams and will be awaiting signature of my NARSUM.

the problem with speed lies with the DOD and VA determinations. I had my exams done quickly, and it has just been mixed up in the process due to their EHR system update.

Same here. My C&P's flew by and the NARSUM portion did as well. The actual PEB and VA is what is dragging out.
