January IPEB Packages

Whats up everyone? woooohooooo! Still waiting! I'm gonna PM everyone who hasn't received results back and see if they have any updates. December and November packages had the same set backs that January is having. Most of the people got their results in 120 days or less... and a few others waited another month or so to get theirs. Hopefully we wont be waiting too much longer!

Just like the rest of the threads similar to this one. Let me know the date in JANUARY that your package was submitted to the IPEB. November's results showed up last month (mostly), so December's should be April/May and then January's should be May/June... Stay Hopeful!

I might also be a good idea to find out who is in the pilot program. Those case seem to be taking some additional time. The good thing is the VA portion is done concurrently...but I think it is adding a good 30+ days to the PEB processing time.

Strange though that February people have all gotten their answers back...at least the ones who posted on the boards! And I know at least 3 February people from my base personally who have gotten answers back. Wonder what the hold up is on these specific January packages...(no my base does NOT participate in the pilot program...in fact we have discovered that they send package off, wait, and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to expedite/check on this process or even ensure the info arrived properly...they seem to take it on blind faith that the system is working as it should here.)

I do know ONE guy on base who's info went up in December who is still waiting...but it turns out his info was sent up incorrectly as a FAST TRACK and had to be re-routed/resent...which delayed the actual send date to the proper place in randolph by probably 3-4 weeks. He is expecting results in the next week or two (per his PEBLO...) Hopefully those of you still waiting get your results as soon as he is expecting his since the actual received date on his package should put him in the same time frame as you....Good luck to you all and hope you get the answers you want soon!

I had a follow up with my "so called" doctor a few days ago... he seems to think those that come back in 4 months are the ones that were clear cut, yes you are fit, no you are un fit. And their ratings were easy to determine. The ones that are taking an additional amount of time are those that are needing to be looked at with a fine tooth comb.

Take my case for example. brandi1037 and I both had our packages submitted on the same day, ironically for the same condition, asthma. She got her results roughly 3 weeks ago. The reason mine is taking longer (as far as i see it) is because mine occured while i was in Iraq. I figure they are looking at mine a little more thoroughly than others because of that.

But, in all honesty, who the hell knows how their process works at AFPC.

Still waitin'.

After all my pouting... I finally got my results! 10% Severence! My flight chief kinda made a snotty remark about why I wanted to get out, I said "Ma'am, no one cares if I fail my PT Test in the civilian world" Take that Woman! Oh how I know she enjoyed writing those LOR's.

I was a little worried about the LOD stuff... but my AF Form 356 says Disabiliy was incurred in the line of duty (AKA IRAQ! BURN PITS!) in time of war... yadah yadah yadah. Something tells me this is going to come in handy further down the road.... As far as I see it, the AF just said I got asthma from the burn pits.... But will cross that bridge when I get to it.

So I'll hang around until all of January is done and I suppose I will surf the board for awhile after that. This truely is a great website!

Congrats on getting your results in. Is that outcome what you were expecting?
Best of luck.

Hiya all I am new to this site but was enjoying all of your information my Med board was sent up 15 Jan 2010 I it is now early June and still no answer as of yet but saw ferkyferk just got his back so I am still in hope

Oh yeah, I wanted this... I just want out. I know I could fight it and maybe get 30%.... but I really dont care. I can sit back and chuckle at my whole experience, I am just glad its over.

SSgt Barger, welcome! Got you on my original post. Keep hope! It will come.

Congrats Ferky. Glad you got your results. You sure you don't want that retirement...it is a paycheck for the rest of your life and medical care/expenses paid especially for the disease you were boarded for....JUST a thought.

Either way, congrats again. I know that "I want OUT" feeling for sure.

hey everyone...got my results today 30% TDRL..couldnt ask for more =) best of luck to everyone else on the site

They keep telling me every day that You should hear something back by the end of the day. I just want an answer I am just tired of not knowing the answer. What sucks is you thing you are going to get an answer so I am attempting to cover my bases going to Job interviews and such but you cant accept any job not knowing the results. Its a real bummer it really is

So after a long, drawn out, two weeks... I finally got my orders! I got kinda hooked up in the last two days. Commander (not too bad of a guy) didn't make me route anything to his office, had me hand carry my leave forms... Permissive starts on 6 July, right after a four day weekend! Final out is 1 July, 2 days to out process the base! It's gonna be crazy. But worth it. Looking forward to my longest vacation since High School!

Stay positive people!

Update on my severance...

Around my sep date (4 Aug) I pinged finance to see where my final pay was at. They said that there was some calculations wrong with my severance and the Disability Office at AFPC had to fix it. So I called AFPC and they told me one person was working all the cases and that there were 40 some cases that needed corrections. They said by the end of August my package would be fixed and paid. I called on 30 Aug and found out that all was well and I needed to call DFAS Indianapolis to find out when I would get paid. So I called them and they said I would get paid between in one to two weeks. My parents received my check in the mail last Thursday! They actually came through! They sent it to my HOR... So people need to look out for that and make sure they know where DFAS is sending the check. Take care all!
