Just called my peblo expected time of fit/unfit months of what I expected

So I submitted my case to the PEB on Nov 20th was told it would take a while due to the PEB's systems being shutdown for almost 3 weeks. She told me to call every week to see if there is any updates. So I call today and she said that its backed up and its now taking people 3 months to get unfit/fit ratings and 3 months to get ratings. Then another 6-8 weeks after I get my percentages to get my DD214

That is 6 months added on to the 4 months I have already put into this process what the hell? Is anyone else getting this kind of information as well form there PEBLO. I am about to say I do not want to do this any more, I am already past my EAS date and I don't want to be here another 7+ months on top of the 4 months I have already done I need some help here guys.

3 diagnoses
1: avulsion fracture of the elbow
2: cronic medial epicondylitis
2: cubital tunnel syndrome

USMC if that matters.

USMC also...my PEBLO never answers his phone. It did take 2 months for me to be found unfit. MSC said they should be done with proposed ratings in about 2 weeks so idk...two weeks will be dec 17. I'm sure I won't hear anything so I'll probably end up calling. Anther Marine I know had their package sent up August 28 the VA sent their ratings November 24 they still haven't heard anything yet.
 
In 3 days, my PEB started 6 months ago.
 
You can view the VA's average times on their weekly report. It does matter that your USMC. The VA office that processes IDES claims varies by branch of service. As for the FIT/UNFIT decision your branch matters because that decision is made by your service.

I as well am in the same boat! I have received all of the same information that you have. USMC as well. My case was submitted to PEB Sep 17. Still waiting for FIT/UNFIT rating. My PEBLO never answers the phone or returns my calls. I have 3 months past my EAS. I keep wanting to give up too but hold tight... We are almost there!

Hey,

Wondering if you have received an update on your case? I just called today and still no fit/unfit rating. That is bullshit that you cannot talk to your peblo they have the ability to look up where your case is at I dont know where you are located at but i would try and call this number and ask about your case (760) 830 2973 get in contact with any peblo and they should be able to help.
 
Just letting you guys know, I'm on about the same time line as both of you and same deal...no help or info from PEBLO...he never answers or returns calls. I've been leaving him messages for months now. But, the person I've had luck with was my MSC (the VA rep you initially see right after your PEBLO) he told me I was unfit and where my case was in the process. Might try them.

My MSC has been helping me out too.
 
I called the number above and received better info than from my PEBLO!,
 
Hi Everyone!

Is it possible to switch PEBLOs? Mine is absolutely worthless! She never answers the phone or returns my call. If she does, she puts me on hold and "accidentally" hangs up. I'd just like an update on my case, and she's said nothing but it's been sent (which obviously I know).

Hi black republic peblos are pretty busy people I would see if you can ask her for someone else you can call for updates on your case. My peblo has an assistant while yours maybe not have that some case mangers have access to the info.
 
I know they're busy...she doesn't have an assistant. I ended up just calling some number for the PEB that I found online, and it got me to another Peblo. She advised me that they are still reviewing my case...I haven't been found fit or unfit yet. I don't pay too much attention to Ebennies, but it's been in the Preparation for Decision status since November. Weird, but I'm still getting paid so I'll wait it out.
 
Sorry to butt-in, but I've been following this thread. I've got roughly the same timeline as well, and I called the number that was mentioned and a very helpful lady looked into my case and told me that a decision has been made, but because I'm not in their system she can't look into what the fit/unfit decision is. I called my PEBLO, and she said that it is still under review with the PEB. I'm just lost as to what point my case really is at, my own PEBLO said I should have had results by late december, and has been telling me to check in every couple of weeks but to no avail. How is it possible for my IDES file to have a decision, yet it can't be viewed? Any advice?

Also, I've tried the MSC route but he says the same thing.
 
I just saw your thread about the letter to expedite the case please let me know how that works out for you.
 
If ebenefits has an estimated completion date pending decision approval does that mean you've been found unfit?
 
Husband is USMC. Unfit just came back. It took over 3 months. Now the wait is on for ratings.
 
to find out if you are unfit, you will have a claim under historical and a current one, they close the first one because they contain your proposed ratings and unfit, they will open that claim back up when they get your DD214, I asked the seattle VA rep because im stationed at jblm
