I just got my results of my MEB board. They found me unfit and not duty related. I was really confused by this because my VA Dr. Noted a permanent profile because of my neck, back, shoulder, and ulnar neuropathy. I am currently 80% VA for chronic adjustment disorder with generalized anxiety & depression, shoulder, & wrist. During my deployment in 2011-2012 I saw a physiologist as well as Dr’ed over a dozen times whill on Active Duty that gave me a LOD for my neck, back, wrist, and shoulder.

During the MEB bored they picked the back to focus on and found it non duty related due to no LOD or medical records. Which clearly were never reviewed. My unit is now telling me to peruse a PEB. But it is a Non Duty Related PEB they are wanting me to persue.

Am I able to appeal the MEBs findings? Or take it to the PEB and provide all the evidence there? Regardless of which one am I able to add all the medical issues I feel are service connected?

THANKS!

@Agross I hope that you have appealed the decision. The decision is not final. People more versed in this process can probably give better advise, but there is the appeal process. After that I believe you can submit a BCMR package to rule on the entirety of all your evidence. Also if you have over 8 years of combined active duty service you need to look into 10 USC 1207a. I have just been notified that they are trying to put me through the same Non-Duty Related DES process. Keep up the good fight.
