PEBLO sent my signed ratings to AFPC on 6Nov19...1-2 weeks should be max waiting time for receiving orders, per PEBLO's other recent case experiences...how long did you wait until orders were uploaded to vMPF or when you received notice that they were available? this process is almost most stressful than the MEB/PEB part!! i just want to start out-processing, so my supervisor will get off my back about my EPR being due to the unit by 1Dec...she needs it already....not due to AFPC until 31Jan!

Oh yes! Same boat.. Signed everything today... Already told my unit i'm waiving my last EPR (you can too) Hopefully it doesnt take 2 freaking weeks for orders!

From what I’ve seen in my unit, it took about 1 week to 2 weeks at max. You seemed so stressed over this EPR lol. What can they do at this point in time? Give you a write-up or take away your ratings? Be realistic here lol.

On a more brighter note, what your plans after the military? Got any jobs lined up or leads?

EPR...USAF

My boss, a LTC in the Army asked me what I would like to have on my final NCOER (evaluation). I suggested we forget about it...it would not help me get a job and after 25 years, I did not plan to return to the Army.

He followed my suggestion. For most of my career I was allowed to write my own anyway, so if needed, there was plenty of documentation.

I know, right! Because they stress me out about it...’if the orders aren’t in, we must follow the rule book’...freakin’ ridiculous!

Yep! Stay at home mom life, here I come!

Mine a AFI(Air Force I structuring) thumpers... I’ll try to get it waived. My commander is more likely just to let it go, but not my supervisor.

Since you have the opportunity, make sure that you get the best EPR you can, even if you have to write it yourself.

You may need it in the future if you are applying for a position that you really want.

You should also get a PCS/Retirement award. Ensure that this is taken care of as well. Just because you are medically retiring, this does not mean that you are not afforded the same professional courtesy that is extended to other service members.

I’m not working. I’m going to stay at home with my 3yo. After he starts kindergarten, I’ll be a house-wife. Fortunately, my hubby makes enough that I don’t have to work.

yes, they should be getting me my deserved retirement awards. They better hurry though, they’re running out of time before I “peace out”! :P

it took my orders 2 days!

In all due respect, you should be seeking all evaluations and awards possible.

Many people say it many times on this board "I don't care what the government owes me I just want out" - either this is out of ignorance, spite or they are hiding something and need out ASAP - BUT DO NOT LIMIT your options in the future just because you think you will never need to work again or do not want to prolong the process a few days to get paperwork, evals and awards taken care of. You are about to have your whole life to slack off, don't start early. Just my two cents but you should be seeking the best EPR possible and should want one done on the way out. You never know.

I agree that a final evaluation could be valuable to an individuals with less than a full military career.

I doubt that a final evaluation would do much for someone who served 20 years or more and had numerous other credentials.

I worked for more than 20 years after a regular retirement and had no need for the final evaluation. However, the majority of people who visit this board are or will will be Chapter 61 retirees or separated under Chapter 61 and I can see the need for that final document.

How do you go about waiving it?!

A Report will still be due BUT instead of being worried about bullets you just elect to not have a final report rendered! Talk to your CSS or Personnelist in your unit.. It's doable.. I'm personnel and will be electing not to have my final report rendered..

STILL WAITING ON ORDERS!!! I'm 'bout to go crazy! PEBLO said she will contact PEB today to inquire about my EAS date, so my orders can be cut...still waiting on that, too! PEB is the hold-up right now...very annoying...Day 12 today!

did you get orders yet?!

I just received my final kick in the pants today and found this thread wondering how long it was taking others.

I was told that the PEBLO doesn't get notified when orders are cut, was told to keep an eye in PRDA, that's where they show up. CHECK IT!
