I'll update as I move along.

I apologize for not updating in a while. I ended up being hospitalized for about 7 weeks. The process obviously moved on while I was in the hospital and very quickly did I do a bunch of paperwork after I got out. My CC letter had to be re-accomplished because it was older than 120 days. I am a little frustrated, but a little thankful, because they did a 100% flip on the CC letter this time. Previously I was marked retain by my CC but now he marked me do not retain.

I received an email from mypers today:

Your disability case was sent to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Disability Rating Activity Site (DRAS) to provide a proposed rating decision and rationale for any unfitting conditions you may have. This step is critical to ensure your disability percentages are appropriate since the AF Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) does not determine disability ratings. The PEB applies the disability ratings from the DRAS using the VA diagnostic code(s) and completes the Air Force Form 356, Findings and Recommended Disposition of USAF Physical Evaluation Board. Once complete, your PEBLO r will provide you a copy of the Air Force Form 356 and brief you on the results.

freedomforcegal: how are you getting updates from mypers? I have never gotten any updates.

Don't ask me, I was surprised to see it. :-)

After hearing of everyone's good fortune lately and the progress their claims have been making I started getting a little (a lot) curious. My vets.gov has changed as of today to pending decision approval but the estimated completion date went from March to January.

I received this email....and then my phone rang today...

My ratings are in:

Your Air Force Form 356, Findings and Recommended Disposition of USAF Physical Evaluation Board was sent to the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at your base Medical Treatment Facility. Your PEBLO will explain the Informal Physical Evaluation Board findings and recommended disposition. You can request a copy for your personal records.

Your PEBLO will ask you to sign an Air Force Form 1180, Action on Physical Evaluation Board Findings and Recommended Disposition. The Air Force Form 1180 provides Airmen an option to agree or disagree with the PEB decision. We recommend you contact the Office of Airmen’s Counsel (OAC) prior to signing the form.

I hope you got what you were wanting!

With the exception of that big fat temporary I did!

I hope that this gives me hope mine will come back in the next month (Or so). My package was received by the va on 17feb2017.

If you don't mind my asking how many issues did you submit? I think I had 25-26. Very long story.

Again congrats on your case movement

I actually had 17 issues to be considered. I hope you do hear soon, it's such a relief to finally feel like you are making progress through the system. Good luck!

I only had 7, that's why mine went so fast I think.

I had a bunch as well. I ended up with a total of 9 being rated (7 at 0%, 1 at 10% and 1 at 10%), and only 2 of those are unfitting.

My case was sent to the VA the same day as yours, and was completed on Monday, 3 Mar. I claimed 32 items...now just waiting on AFPC to notify my peblo.

Wow that gives me hope that mine might come back quick. Did you call providence? I called on the first and the person I spoke to said to call back in a few weeks.

No I just kept checking my ebenefits and vets.gov. Once I saw that it went historical, the following day I called my MSC and he confirmed that it was finished and that he could see my proposed rating but unfortunately he refused to tell me. So if your case was sent out on the same day, you should be hearing something soon.
