Last Pay Question

Currently on terminal leave and I was curious as to which pay would be considered the last. My last day AD is Nov 29, will the 15 pay be held or the 1st of Dec? Also when should I expect the disability pay to start?

I have money set aside for bills so that's not an issue unless the VA takes it's sweet time starting my pay for disability and Post-9/11, start school in Jan and all post- 9/11 paperwork done but I hear lots of horror stories with the VA.

- also when should I give VA dd214? I have a copy now that I can submit to them but should I wait until I'm out?
 
Final pay is held, but not that long. Your final pay check is your last day on AD, nit when you start terminal leave.

Shortly after your last day on AD you while get a DD 214. Upload a copy to the VA the same day. This expedites the start of VA benefits.

I don't think you got the question I was asking. I understand that I will get paid while on terminal, I've been on terminal for a while now and have received pay during this time. My question is, since my last day AD is on the 29, Is the 15th check the one withheld or the one for the first of Dec. So it'll either be 14 days plus leave sold, if last pay is 15th Nov, or 29 days plus leave sold, if last pay, before withheld pay is 1st Nov. IDK if that made any sense or if it'll cause more confusion.

Also I have a copy of my dd214 right now, can I upload it now so it'll make the verifying stage of the VA process quicker because they'll have all the paperwork already on hand if i submit before last day AD.

My apologizes. The 15th check is not your final check so it will NOT be held. Your EOM check is your final paycheck and it should be held. If you have a DD 214 for your current term of service already then you should upload it to the VA ASAP.
 
I signed something that states last pay will be held. I too have the same EAS.

"I understand that I will not receive a final paycheck on my EAS. This will all be received upon 5 working days after my EAS/Retirement on my final settlement from Disbursing."
 
Seven days for me, final day was on the 7th, final pay on the 15th with USAA giving it to me one day early.

My first VA direct deposit was 53 days later.
