Hope this helps shine some light at the end of the tunnel for a lot of you, I know this helped me plan a bit around this INSANE process where no one has answers.

-20FEB23 - Med Board Referral
-06MAR23- First contact with PEBLO
-13MAR23- VA contact to go over ALL conditions
-20MAR23- Attorney meeting.
-26APR23- ALL C&P Exams completed.
-12JUN23- ALL C&P findings compiled and sent to MEB and VA for rating determination
-03AUG23- VA Proposed Rating received and sent to PEB. ( No one notified me, I had to check the VA app to see the case closed and call the VA to obtain the letter since the PEBLO wasn't responsive.)
-23AUG23- PEB Notified Decision is made and case moved to QA.
-18OCT23- Findings Arrive from PEB ( Again, no notification I had to call the PEBLO a MILLION TIMES!, no answer until I went IN PERSON! )
-23OCT23- ACTUAL date I Received my Findings.
-31OCT23- Attorney Meeting to go over Findings and Proposed Ratings.
-01NOV23- Signed Finding and sent to PEB same day.
-08NOV23- Command received Retirement Orders PDRL - (I had to go in person and give them my cell to call me right away, not trusting them anymore)
-28DEC23- **RETIREMENT DATE**

What I learned from this process is patience and continued communication. be proactive! they all kept telling me every step of the way that it can take 1 week or it can take 2 months. no one knows. each case is unique. The more you have in it the longer it will take.

I had 5 referred conditions and 22 conditions for the VA rating, 4 C&P Exams.

Overall I am satisfied that I put every single thing I could find in my medical history after hours of reading it so I won't have to file another claim after I get out.

Do your due diligence and stay on top of EVERYTHING!

Good Luck! Hope this helps.

Looks like the VA portion went quick, only 4 C&P exams for 22 conditions?

Do your separation orders show up on NSIPS?
Command had to request them, once they did after a few days they showed up on NSIPS

VA was very fast, considering the amount I claimed , seems like they prioritize IDES.

Yes, most of the conditions were covered under the head to toe exam which was done in a 1 , 4 hour exam. They took 2 , 20 min breaks.

Oh wow that's solid. Going on month three of VA, seems like they are taking forever to schedule.

Call them, i had a similar issue with one of my exams they were unable to Find a provider nearby, they sent me to one 4 hours away.

The problem is that it took them a while to tell me this. Call them and ask whats the hold up.

@SaltyGunz have you received your DD-214? Do you know how long it takes to get it? I was thinking about applying for a VA job but can’t without a DD214

I do have to thank you for sharing this timeline. I have been waiting since Nov 2 with proposed ratings and being told that my PEB case was in QA. It looks like it takes 7-8 weeks to get final findings after that point, of which I am right on top of. My PEBLO is telling me that he is being told that my case is through the QA portion and their teleconference is referencing that a bunch of findings are about to be pushed out. This is nerve wracking beyond anything I have faced in my decade plus in the Navy, but your timeline and a bunch of others seem to have that same range, so there is hope that comes with seeing it.

I'm definitely thankful for the look at other's times.

I know how you feel, the time from QA to findings felt like forever. Glad this timeline helped you get a sense of what’s to come. It sure helped me manage and plan looking at timelines on this forum.

who within the command receives the Retirment orders.

did you receive your date yet?
Admin, they first get a message with a list of people to retire or separate for medical reasons. Thats message was sent within a week in my case.

After that the PS’s in Admin will give you a bunch of paperwork to fill out and verify awards. Once you fill it out and give it back to them they will send a request for orders. You will not get the order ls until they request them, it is critical you fill out the paperwork they give you as soon as possible, without order ls you wont get paid for the moving expenses

Not sure if you'll see this because you've been out so long but how did you know the findings arrived if the PEBLO did not tell you? My case was closed by the VA Dec 3rd 23.

You should have the findings any minute now,
Call the PEBLO, if they don't answer , walk in.

I did not know the findings have arrived.
The PEBLO notified me on October 23rd when I personally walked into his office. He wasn't answering my calls.

He then said "oh yea here they are" and the date on the documents was October 18.

Like Salty, I had to call the PEBLO as well. I was calling them weekly and they assured me I didn’t need to because, “we will call you the morning it arrives”. I called them on a Thursday and they had them at least the day before.
