Leave while waiting for separation orders

Am I allowed to take leave while waiting for my separation orders? I haven’t received them yet and I am supposed to be taking leave in a few days but I haven’t put it into leaveweb yet. I’m hesitant to because I’m not sure if this will mess with my separation date since they take into account all of my leave? I feel like if I take leave, they will have to redo my separation orders which will take even longer. Please provide any information you have.

Most branches don't allow leave in the PEB process, but there are exceptions to every rule. If you want to take leave and your supervisor approves leave......

How would that change my orders then? Say if while I’m on leave I get my orders and the separation date includes the leave that I am on. I’m assuming AFPC would have to regenerate new orders which could take some time.

I sat down with the wing personnel folks and worked out the details. That may be a good option for you.
