May IPEB AF Packages

The IDES system has the VA built in. It goes directly from the IPEB to the VA. The legacy or old system on goes to the IPEB and then comes back to the MEB. You get to do the VA when you get a release date. I thought I read somewhere where you were under the legacy system but I may be mistaken.

I'm guessing we are under the old system. He doesn't have anything with the VA yet. Meeting with Wounded Warriers Rep. today. She will help him with all that. I guess they have to fast track the VA since he has his results from MEB.

RESULTS ARE IN!!!
60% Temp Retirement..my husband is going to fight for perm. UGH and more waiting!!

Joshand Sarah...I know it wasn't what you were hoping for, but at least you have the first answer. Best of luck on the FPEB!!! Go get'em and get that perm retirement!

That was great for getting your results back so quickly, trying not to get my hopes up to much but thinking I should hear something real soon. I don't understand why TDRL but good luck in the fight and keep us posted because my PEBLO told me I would have to go to the FPEB and I did not want to do that.

Thank you everyone so much! I absolutly LOVE this site, the words of encouragment and positive thinking honestly does wonders! I'm praying that the FPEB goes well, and we can get out of here by July 28th!! Here's to PRAYING!!

Has anyone had any dealings with the Air Force Wounded Warrior Center? I just made sure my info made it to them since I do have a diagnosed combat related injury.

I have and I have been very happy with the help I have been given. They are not limited to the same kind of Chain of Command issues as we are. They can go strait to the top if they feel it is necessary. Their office is usually located at the Family Readiness Center on base. Get to know you local rep and they should be able to give you guidance and point you in the right direction if you need it.

Thanks for that bit of info. I haven't contacted the rep on base yet, but did speak directly with AFW2 at Randolph.

Hopefully things will start moving for me now. I was just assigned a care manager with the AF Wounder Warrior Center.
