Thank you ahead of time to all that reply.
I have had ankle issues since i was in iraq from 09-10. I rolled my ankle half a dozen times but because i was at ft stewart, they didnt want to do anything keeping me from deploying. I am now at ft sill and have had surgery on my right ankle for instablity. It never really healed and is still very instable and i have pain everyday and have to walk with a limp. they have put me on a t-3 for the time being and i am going for my consult on Tuesday the 4th. Is there anything i should be aware of and/or say while im there. I am very unhappy with my current state and dont care to stay in. i have 5 years in and also have GERD, Sleep issues, and Constant migranes.

Just be honest at the appointment, don't sugar coat anything and don't make it seem worse than what it is... They will see right through it and automatically assume you are trying to ride they system. You can voice the opinion with your unhappiness, but don't say you want out. Use the wording that you have concerns about your abilities to lead Soldiers, ability to deploy and so on... Show that you are really having issues with this, not the I just want to get out crap...

FYI - The ankle issue will probably be based on range of motion. Two of my issues were ankles. Both had surgury. The ROM of my ankles includes not being able to raise either higher than 5 degrees less than horizonal (-10 and -5 degrees on the protractor thing - 0 degrees = 90 degrees. +20 degrees = normal). I walk with a non-painful wabble, until my knees get tired of compensating, but I am an old jumper and I am supposed to "shuffle" anyway. ;)

The ratings on my ankles came back 20 and 10 percent (severe and moderate limited).

Thank you grizz and eagleone, just got a call back from the GI Specialists and it looks like i might need surgery on my esophegous.
