I was MEB'd for 5 issues but had over 20 years when I was separated. I was rated at 60% for the Army and 100% for the VA. One of my disabilities I was MEB'd for was PTSD and I was rated at 50%. I was put on the TRDL and 18 months later I had to conduct an interview with a psychiatrist on the Army side to see if I still had PTSD. The Dr told me he will recommned I be rated at 70% for the Army side and placed on the PRDL. If that happens will I loose money? I am not familiar with this process. Thanks.

That's nothing but good news. You were initially rated 50% for PTSD on temporary retirement, you're getting increased to 70% with a placement on permanent retirement. Means you're washing your hands of the possibility of coming back to the Army and your percentage is increasing. You won't gain or lose money, but now your percentage is locked in for the DoD side of the house as permanently disabling rather than temporarily disabling. IIRC a PTSD discharge from a MEB legally has to be 50% on the outbound and has a chance to decrease or increase from there with another chance to stay the same.

If you had already reached 20 active duty years for a regular retirement you max out pay with your regular pension + VA compensation so the results of your chapter 61 retirement don't matter near as much compared to others.
