MEB/PEB IDES JBLM Timeline

I figured that I would go ahead and start my timeline on here.

12 June 2012 Podiatry recomends MEB
29 June 2012 P3 is approved
24 July 2012 Initial MEB Brief
31 July 2012 MEB Doc Appt
27 August 2012 1st PEBLO Meeting
31 August 2012 VA MSC Meeting
18-20 September 2012 VA C&P Exams
Now I am waiting......

I was told that it generally takes about 2-3 weeks for the C&P exams to make it back to the MEB doc to begin the writing of my NARSUM. I was also told by my PEBLO that it would take about 30-45 days to have it finished once the MEB doc recieves it. Although this is now my second PEBLO in the span of a few weeks and I am not really sure just how long it takes as this is JBLM and they run on their own warped time schedule for things. I will update this as time goes on.
 
Sounds about right on the timeline.
 
FYI

C&P exam start at Feb 17 2012
C&P exam result came out on March 13
Commander notified on March 1st
Narsum result June 6
Narsum forwarded to PEB on June 13
Narsum kicked back from PEB due to get detail of poly trauma on July 20
Narsum correction and signed on Aug 3

I'm still waiting to get my finding. I believe my case pending on vote1 since first of September
 
UPDATE:

VA in Seattle has recieved C&P exam results....not sure how long it takes to get from VA back to MEB/PEBLO but I am figuring that I should be moving in to the NARSUM writeup and eventual forwarding of my packet to the PEB provided that my information is correct. More wating :rolleyes:.....
 
UPDATE:

MEB/PEBLO has recieved QTC exam results and I am awaiting the dictation of my NARSUM. Hopefully this doesn't take as long as I have seen from JBLM before. Although this is JBLM we are talking about so anything is possible at this point. Will post again once I finally get the call to review.

It depends. My NARSUM took 5 months to get done and several others I know had theirs take 8 months. It depends on how well staffed they are where you are located.
 
UPDATE:

:eek::eek::eek:!!! Holy crap things are really moving quickly, no sooner did I check my status to find that my NARSUM was being written to finding that my DA Form 3947 is awaiting physician signatures. Soooooo I am hoping that everything on that thing is correct so I can get rolling into the PEB portion of things. So new time line is as follows:

Sounds like you have Mr. Williams as your MEB doc... Lucky you! Mine was Mr. Anderson and it took him 4 1/2 months to get mine done...
 
I did see Mr. Anderson for my first appointment and I have no idea who wrote it but hopefully everything is correct and I don't have to wait forever to get the signatures on the 3947. :)

It should be no more than 2-3 weeks till you get the call to review, maybe earlier depending on who your PEBLO is, unless there is a hiccup with a signature somewhere.... Keep us posted!
 
I will! I emailed her today to ask how long to wait on a signature but she hasn't replied back as of yet. She is very responsive and always answers emails within a day and updates my MEB/PEB on AKO, which I know is rare for a PEBLO to do. The two I have had in this process so far have been pretty good. I am hoping that my luck continues :P
 
Yet another update! Wow are things moving over here at JBLM....amazing I know. Got email notifying me that my PEBLO has recieved my NARSUM and I will meet with her on Tues 30 October to reivew and of course take it to legal to ensure that everything on this thing is legit. After I get it I will post further information. Hopefully this goes well and we can get on to the PEB portion of things prior to the holidays :P Wishful thinking considering the recent hiccups with the system being down :)
 
If you haven't been to the MEB legal brief, I suggest you do it... I think they are Mon. and Wed? not sure... Hit up the MEB JAG office by Old Madigan tomorrow, it will save you that little bit of time. Take your spouse with you to the actual appointment, they may ask questions that you would never think of!;)
 
Thanks for the advice Grizz.....got the legal brief done back in July so now all I need to do is get over there and let them look at this thing as soon as I get my hands on my NARSUM on Tues. I could probably give them a call and see if I could just schedule an appointment in the afternoon. Thanks again for everything :)
 
I would also hit up the DAV guys just to give it a look-see too.

July 31-MEB Brief
1 AUG- See MEB dr first time
8 Sept- Met my PEBLO for the first time
10 Sept- went to MSC
the next week all QTC
24 OCT- Got my NARSUM
26 OCT- Signed my NARSUM
29 OCT- Case Sent to PEB and Now waiting????
 
Hi JJDE looks like we have just about the same time lines. I get to go see my NARSUM tomorrow and hope that it is right.

Make sure you get it over to the MEB Legal, all they are going to asked you is do you want to try to upgrade things
 
Thats part of the plan for tomorrow after I leave the PEBLO's office. :)
