MEB Questions

I have a few questions here that i am trying to get answered since noone seems to know anything in the military these days. I start from the beginning so it makes a little sense, In 2007 i shattered both Tib/Fib and crushed both ankles in a motocross accident while on PCS leave, i have 2 plates and 13/14 screws in both legs now i\i was in the infantry and since you kinda need your legs for that job i was a no-go. So my orthopedic surgeon proceeded to do a MMRB which was completed in Dec of 08i got a P3 profile from it. I came down on order to become a 14T which is a patriot missle person i got to the AIT and was told what what in the world was i doing here but they proceeded to let me stay since i was a E-6. Now towards the end of AIT once it came down to the physical part of this job i told them i couldnt do it since i cant run or jump anymore they basically said oh well take it up with your gaining unit so now that im at my gaining unit the first day i get here i see the CSm and take up my issues with him. They proceed to put me in for a MEB which as of 4 days ago i completed my physical and my evals from both physical therapy and orthopedics. So my PA on the physical portion checks the block for Service member unfit for duty. Now my question is its become a pain and a headache to myself because if DA would have properly put me in a job that i could have done like the reccomendation from the board gave i wouldnt be getting screwed over like this. So i guess my major question is since i have been marked unfit for service does this pretty much end my military career?

Not neccessarily. You can always get return to duty findings from any board. Also, how much time in do u have? There are programs out there that allow you you to stay in if it, basically, is in the best interest of the military (specialized training, experience etc...).
