HI all,

First time to post on the forum but I have read quite a few and find them all pretty informative.

I was just placed in the WTU for BH issues but I have other medical conditions that my PCM is working on. I'm just a little overwhelmed to say the least with all the appointments and all the meds now. I have a lower back problem L5/S1 and neck C6/7 along with degenarative arthristis in both knees and shoulders.

My PCM has me on a T3 profile for now and looks like I will be staying longer for follow up appointments and my BH treatments. I already have P2 profile for the back, knee's and shoulders. Also I had a stent placed in back in Jun 2012. I just would like to know if anyone thinks I have a case for an MEB or what? I have close to 18 years active and over 30 years total service.

Can anyone share anything with me?

It sounds like you would have a very good case for an MEB. As far as how to go about starting one, I was told you have to show going through treatment for a year before they will refer. It all depends on the condition and the doctor, though.

I'm also from Alabama; 20th SFG, went active, had a break in service, went back to the guard, came back active. Start a private conversation with me on the forum and we can talk.

The PCM that intiates the MEB can state whether or not you reached MRDP (Medical Retention Data Point) at anytime. If the provider or specialist can/will say that even with treatment you will not go back to retention standards the a profile (P3) can be assigned and as long as they check you need a board one can be initiated.
