MEB timeline for USAF hickam AFB

I am waiting to sign my package to have it routed to AFPC/IPEB.
My question is, how long do you think it will take to hear back?

PEBLO says 30/45 days to get my ratings and then it should take 2 weeks to generate my orders.

realistically I am hopping to be home in May because my dad is sick and I am praying I’ll make it home in time for our move to be with him.

can someone be realistic and let me know? I was told it should be fast once the package is out of PEBLOS hands. So I’m hopeful I’ll be home by then
 
I have been on the MEB process at Hickam for 20 months now. It took 8 months to get my ratings back from VA and DOD.
 
Did they tell you why? Have you been checking the VA website? Have you called the VA to ask?
 
8 months is far too long and also surpasses the deadline they have for their airman. So I assume it’s because it was submitted late to the va.
How long did it take for you to complete your QTC appointments? When did you sign your package to submit to AFPC?

I received 100% VA and 80% DOD, I had to request a one time VA reconsideration for one of my unfitting conditions. I don't know why my MEB took so long, but I was told I should be out and retired by April.

I completed my QTC exams on June 2019. I had 34 claims total, and still have two more pending claims that have not been rated, but already at 100% VA.
 
how long did it take for you to receive your ratings back after you submitted a re-evaluation?

It was quick the VA and DOD made a decision within two weeks, I did not have to fly to San Antonio for my formal hearing my lawyer took care of everything.
 
I don’t plan to appeal anything because I really want to get out of here already.

From the moment you sighed your package to the moment you received your ratings (before you appealed this) how long was the wait?

they keep telling me it’s 30/45 days and most people say they hear back before the 30 days but the longest I’ve heard is 50 days and I’m really hoping and praying for an early release to make it to my graduation, as well as graduate school.

I finished my C & P exams on June 27, 2019. Received ratings from VA and DOD December 2, 2019. I did not agreed with the rating and I appealed. It took 5 months to receive ratings after C & P exams. No worries that is why we are here ask any questions, I know the process is very frustrating, but a good advice is while you are in the MEB and if you don't agree with a decision you can appeal for it now. Once you are a Veteran it will be harder to get it corrected.
 
Do you have any idea why it took you so long? Are you USAF? I’m so worried it’ll take me that long and it can’t because I start classes on June 1st and have to be in NY May 27th for orientation which is mandatory. I’m worried it’ll take me that long though they said it should be back 30/45 days after.
 
You really shouldn’t have outside commitment or plans until you know for sure when you’re gonna be out. You are making a huge gamble and only adding more unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. With that said, I hope it all works out...
