I’m in a weird situation and have tried numerous times to reach out to PERS but to no avail. In short, I’m an LDO with over 20 years and over 8YCS currently on my second LIMDU period. Will not be fit for duty after this but my PCM wants to return to duty with limitations and allow me to reach regular retirement. I will have a year left after this LIMDU period. This notion is based on that a medboard might negatively affect my retirement pay with concurrent pay. Has anyone ever experienced this? I want to request a medboard and get it done and over with but being under 10 YCS the folks at PERS just keep telling me that technically there is no legal title code I could retire under. Any help is appreciated!
