I managed to call jeff 5 min ago (first time talking to him) ngl he seemed pretty pissed or at least annoyed
He immediatly asked for my social and name then said my case is still at va after i asked would that mean ive been found unfit he just said im not going to answer any questions and then a have a good day devil dog and hung up lol
I kinda feel bad for him seems like hes the only one who handles this

Yep… a classic Jeff response and all the OG’s on this thread has had that type of response or something like it lol it’s normal. The important part is getting the info you needed and of course he can’t officially tell you you’ve been found unfit cause he doesn’t want to lose his job giving out potentially false information.

Makes sense i wonder how long he's been doing this lol at least i hope im assigned a rater for now all va reps dont give a yes or no or date when i specifically ask

The PEB is military branch specific the Navy/Marines, Army, Air Force all have their own PEB as it is an administrative board. The DoD sets some standard guidance and then that is further enforced by each branch. So Jeff is Navy PEB so he would oversee Navy and Marine Corps PEBs. Though there is often overlap in all of the processes the PEB is specific to military department since its administrative.

Last week the VA told me I was “assigned to a rating team” as of 11 October, I just got off the phone with them again and they said I had been “assigned a rater” as of 18 October. Hopefully this starts moving now. (My case was sent to the VA 29 August for reference.)

Ok sounds good, I was assigned a rater as of Oct 15th and my case has been with the VA since August 7th so hopefully you, I as well as a couple others in this thread from their August pile hear something back soon

Anyone have any updates today? I know it’s Monday but hoping it’s earlier in the week since they have 20 days to get the ratings in. Not sure if it’s work or calendar days.

I believe it’s 20 days period since they’re going off of the IDES timeline and I called the VA today around noon and there was no update for me.

Yeah hopefully it’s all of us really soon. I just called the VA, and the note on my file was that they were waiting for the PEB to release their unfit/fit status. Once that’s completed, then they’ll give me my proposed ratings. But they don’t have a timeline on how long the ratings will take.

Strange, I've been waiting in the PEB since September 10th. The PEBLO told me they are waiting for my proposed VA ratings before they find me fit/unfit.

Fingers crossed

Strange indeed! I’ve been waiting since the 23rd of September, and my PEBLO said the same thing in an email last week.

Odd as far as im aware va doesnt propose ratings if found fit i could be wrong though
I understood this:
MEB accepted by PEB
Found unfit sends to va
Va gives proposed ratings send to peb
Peb/dod makes their rating off va %
After, it is sent back to you to sign findings
Sent back and wait for eas change

also im under the impression that if found fit you can agree or fight it then start formal peb (and then va again if found unfit)
And I'm also under the impression a formal peb can be done if you don't like dod%

Also looking at my timeline sheet it also IPEB goes first then va then you sign findings or appeal and it has another that goes down from ipeb to fpeb (which i assume means if found fit you can request fpeb)
Again i could be wrong lol

Update from me this morning (55 days since PEB deemed me unfit). I reached out to my Recovery Care Coordinator over at Navy Wounded Warrior. She said there were no updates in VTA but would reach out to my MSC. My MSC followed up shortly thereafter and stated "DRAS has not indicated there are any issues with rating your case" thus I am still standing by for any updates.

I’m at 54 days and tired of the “everything’s fine” replies from these people. If everything is fine, why are we over 50 days into a process they told us would take less than 30?

I feel that man. I’ve been in the process for 52 days. I called wounded warrior and the guys said to wait 4-5 months. From the timelines I see here none of that looks true. We just got to keep each other updated on where the VA is at so we all get an idea
