I hate to say this cause we hear this from everybody outside of this chat group but I’m currently at day 75 and I’m still waiting on ratings however they should be generated any day now….unfortunately you just have to be patient. Get job offers and your personal life together in the mean time and just work on you. It sucks I know…but a little more time for a lifetime benefit isn’t the worst thing in the world you know

I second this, I’ve learned anything you expect to happen a certain way will absolutely not turn out the way you thought. Take everything timeline wise with a grain of salt and try not to obsess over what you think will happen. Try your best to be patient and keep yourself busy so you don’t catch yourself constantly stressing over the wait!
Ok that's weird to me, my PEBLO said I was found unfit and now it's been sent to the VA, why does it sound backwards on my end. I've been waiting since September 23rd as well, was told I was fund unfit on Oct 3rd though. What has been the estimated waiat time for proposed ratings from the va? Every time I call them, they tell me to speak to my MSC if I want more information.
You’re supposed to be unfit if it’s with the VA that’s what my attorney told me. I’m usmc tho
Do you know if the VA is behind? Is it more like a 90 day wait after being submitted to PEB? I've see 56-75 days as far as waiting for proposed ratings? Should I just set my expectations for 90 days?
Last update I had from my MSC is the VA Raters were 400 cases behind on proposed ratings and that they were working on individuals around 40 days at VA. If you are sent to the VA you are unfit they don’t waste time if you are fit. So if you’re at the VA you are unfit. Now as far as VA I was told by MSC once there assigned a rater they have 20 days to process your proposed ratings but of course they are a little behind. Now she did tell me I should see them hopefully by end of the month.
Something we all need to note is once you start your C&P exams the VA technically has your case. You when asking need to ask them where it is currently and when the last time it was touched. I say that because they always say my case started in April but it didn’t get sent to them unfit for ratings until September. So it should be in the ready for decisions phase with a rater to get your next steps. So for timelines make sure to keep track of when you were sent to VA from PEB not just when they say they have your case.

I’ve also noted in this process the PEBLOS always give long estimates and none to minimal crappy updates. They are often overworked I feel like so take that as a grain of salt the MSC is best for VA timeline updates as they can see inside their system for comments and actions. For Navy/Marines Jeff is a great person to contact for PEB status but he is also sooo busy. His updates may be short but his timelines are always spot on since he processes them all.

for most, mine said 45days though i hit 60 days this week lol i would've had more peace of mind if he said 90
Found unfit 9/26, 10/2 PEBLO informed me I was with rating officer. No updates since then, and I can’t get Jeff’s line to even ring - straight to voicemail
As an update for everyone, I just called the VA today and they said my case has been proposed ratings and is in the final closing/posting stage where they actually post those proposed ratings so he said hopefully in the next day or two I should have the proposed ratings now. I don’t know how that works with the PEB process. So I’m going to email my MSC and see what they can tell me. But it does sound like ratings are in.
@Corpsman2015 how long has it been since your case was assigned to a VA rating team?
MSC said rater is still working on it. And it was assigned to be rated back about September 13th but assigned a rater on October 9th.
Copy, yea mine was assigned back on August 7th but wasn’t assigned to a rather until last week on the 18th
My MSC told me today that the VA is waiting on my PEB duty determination before they will complete the proposed ratings. Then my PEBLO tells me the same day that the PEB is waiting for my proposed ratings to determine if I'm fit for duty. Mannnn this is all so confusing, I just hope both sides aren't indefinitely waiting for the other lol.
If it’s at the VA the have your determination. @jsaint05 had the same issue but it’s the VA failing as once it goes to them it’s unfit and they should be processing. I’d try and call Jeff tomorrow to see if he can verify status
I'm in the AF, I don't think Jeff is one of our POC's for the PEB sadly.
Yeah he’s not I haven’t a clue what the AF steps are. Have you posted in the AF groups instead of Navy? You all might have a different process than us
I called this evening and she said the ratings were completed yesterday for me! I’m hoping I can call Jeff tomorrow and see timeline for when it will go through to my PEBLO. And also tomorrow for the letter.
