This is a topic that is asked frequently and here is the most simple way to answer: If the board finds you fit you are immediately returned to duty. If you are found unfit your file is sent to the VA for ratings. So, if your case is at the VA, you are unfit without a doubt.

I didn't call them that many times either. I've been only communicating with my PEBLO. My MSC(now retired recently) only helped me submit my claims then went MIA back in May or June. I continued to just regularly email my PEBLO and one point, I asked her if I can call her once a week for an update. Idk if that started to annoy her but one time she got upset on the phone when I mentioned that I called VA and told her what the VA told me and she told me in a really annoyed tone that she knows nothing and has nothing to do with what updates the VA has so she doesn't know what I'm talking about. Ever since then, she somehow assumes I call and bug people for status updates daily. But tells me how much she totally understands what we are going through and even came up to give me a hug after signing my NARSUM and sending it up lol.How many times did you call them lol i understand though ,my peblo answered one call and sounded mad as hell that i called him like bro you literally work on my behalf its your job to answer my mf questions at least my msc has tried helping me contact my Peblo since then (didn't work though)
My MSC retired and so I asked her the contact info for the new MSC who replaced the old one because VA kept telling me to get with my MSC for more specific questions just kind of hoping they would have an update. I called the new MSC on a Monday and left a voicemail and followed it with a text introducing myself. Nothing back so I called her and texted the next day on Tuesday just following up. Still nothing, so I emailed my PEBLO asking for the MSC's email and in her reply emails, my PEBLO kept telling me not to call her daily or bug her daily because they all have and see the same update in the system as if I was calling them nonstop daily...I called her Monday and Tuesday to follow up because I didn't get any single reply back. PEBLO said she might be at an outreach event or something. So....I crafted up an email response because I was so damn annoyed and it felt like she was trying to leave a paper trail in the email threads that I have been constantly calling everybody when I haven't. I wrote what I wanted to say and chatgpted it up to make it sound professional and not get me in trouble lol I basically wanted to pass along the message notifying her that I have not been calling them everyday and asked her why she keeps saying that in her emails... and then tell me that I am free to call, text, email, and contact her whenever and however many times I need to during this process... lmao.
I hit send and not even 30 minutes later, my supervisor texts me and tells me to stop contacting the PEBLO, VA, and MSC anymore until they get back to me first from now on.

Ugh, sorry for the rant guys. Rant over. I really needed to vent this and get it out of me as it has been eating me alive...
Wait a min…they seriously prohibited you from contacting them? How can they even do that
My supervisor and shirt told me to stop contacting them and that I shall not call them until they first come to me with an update.
PEBLO sent me an email notifying me about the VA backlog and CCed my First Shirt in it. Before I even get to read that email, my shirt replies back and says this in the email "Ma'am, Thank you for the heads up I know the VA is tracking his case and the priority he has in line. Amn Snuffy and I will NOT reach out to Mrs. Wendel(MSC) or yourself or the VA and will continue to wait patiently. Amn Snuffy and I know you will let us know ASAP if you have any updates."

You won’t see anything on there until the case is closed. Usually the same day you’ll receive your proposed ratings either from your PEBLO, MSC, or from you calling the VA asking for them.Hey ya'll, at what point did you guys see something start on the VA app? I was found unfit 24Oct, I know its still going to be awhile before ratings come back, I just see everyone talk about the app, and mine doesn't show anything.
Update for me, my individual rater attempted to contact me today regarding my claim so that’s good news. I emailed her back so I’m just waiting to get a response from her.

Still waiting on my DA199, PEBLO said he checked yesterday and still nothing.Small update from me. Called NWW today for another check in VTA. My package has been with the PEB since 30 Oct for final review. NWW said I should expect my informal findings back before Thanksgiving.

Called the VA today and they told me my claims were assigned an individual rater from a rating team on Oct 28th, then after reassigned to a different rater on the 31st lol. Anyone remember how long after being assigned an individual rater they received their proposed ratings?
Usually takes 20 days or so…wish I had a better answer for you. The VA administratively has 20 days from when it’s assigned a rater before they’re required to generate proposed ratings. I’m currently at day 19 so tomorrow’s the last day for me. Just got my findings mailed. PEB was submitted 8/26 found unfit 9/13 assigned a rating team 10/22 claim closed in the app 11/6.
Has anyone who closed recently signed yet? How long is the PEB taking to return the ratings to your PEBLO?
