Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

52 days from your unfit date would put you about November 24 so I would guess probably get your ratings the last week of November and then probably get your findings back maybe the second week or third week of December just due to the holidays and then probably get your date to separate or retire being in late January through beginning of March, based upon all of the timelines I’ve been seeing for the last year
Okay I just called the VA and they said they weren't able to tell me the name of the rater (which I didn't ask, I just asked if it was with a rating team or single rater lol), but my case had movement as of November 6th. Hopefully, I get my ratings by early December because I know it takes a few weeks to generate separation orders. Thank you, I'm gonna try to get in touch with Jeff tomorrow.

Let us know what Jeff says about the PEB and how backed their workload is!

Anybody know where I can find a list of the disability conditions that are considered static for P&T purposes?

VA finally told me that I was assigned a rater 5 Nov when I called last night!
But also at the same time, not holding my breath because I keep getting told different things by the VA such as if I was assigned to a rating team, etc.
Like one rep told me I was assigned to a rating team back in October but that whole time in October, I was told there was no movement at all. Then a couple days after I was told I was assigned to a rating team in October, I was told that I wasn't assigned to any rating team yet so yeah...
Hopefully the update I got yesterday is true!!!
I'm just hoping to receive my orders or at least find out the date I'm leaving before Christmas! Would be the BEST Christmas gift ever...!! And it would totally make my entire year.
What a way to end a year if that were to happen! :)

Oh and I signed my 618 and it got sent up to my PEB 13 Sep just for reference.
Though, I am Air Force so take that with a grain of salt.
Good to see everybody progressing!!

I was sent up on the 10th of September and got notified I had be assigned an individual rater on the 31st of October. VA lady also told me I should have ratings by Friday based on this.

Gave Jeff a call at noon, straight to voicemail.

Other update is from PEBLO "Your case is at the OA- ready(Post VA). Still pending your findings." So hopefully I get findings soon™.

Jeff answered this morning!
VA is back logged approx. 1500 cases. Longest case has been sitting at PEB 80+ days but they're doing their best to process about 100+ cases daily. I'm getting impatient but I understand, with the holidays approaching I figured things would slow down a bit. Hopefully I hear someting in December beacuse by December 15th I'll be in PEB about 80 days myself. If I go past 90 days without my proposed ratings, I'm gonna lose it. Ratings and a separation date is all I want for Christmas lol.

It should be less than 1500 ideally, I was told they got it down to 1500 last month. But I’m 60 days next week, so same!

Just chiming in after lots of lurking to give everyone another data point: I’m AD Navy found unfit by PEB on 9/16 and still waiting for the VA ratings now. 9/16-11/15(today) is 60 days.

I was found unfit about 2 days after you, last update I received from the VA was that I was assigned a rater on Oct 31st, and to expect something by the end of next week latest, if not today.

do you receive an email when you are found unfit? i just received my first MyFSS email stating its with AFPC on Nov 13th. Im assuming they sent it to the IPEB but I am unsure.

In a nutshell, no. You usually don’t get an email saying you’re unfit. Usually if you’re found unfit by the PEB it gets sent to the VA electronically and then they start working on your ratings, then it’s transferred back to the PEB for comparison (QA) for the ratings to make sure they match and then your PEBLO reaches out to you after that to say it’s time to talk with your lawyer to concur/non-concur with the PEB findings.

thank you. i was just curious because i kept seeing people put the date of when they found out they were unfit by the PEB.

Yea I can understand that, there’s a few different ways you can find out. You can find out either through the Navy Wounded Warrior program via your rep there because they have access to the VTA system, your PEBLO if they’re nice and they do you a favor and tell you early before the PEB has completed their findings on you or you can find our inadvertently by finding out if the VA is working on your ratings because if your case is at that stage by default that means you’ve been found unfit
