or 6419. The 6419 answered when I called. The lady was very nice. She gave me info about my case, which was very helpful. I hope this helps.
 
Yes confirmed it works. I just talked to Sandy who, yes was very nice and helpful. Though she could only give me info that the compter can tell her: Which in my case was "your case has gone to the VA 12JAN for official rating confirmation."

What that means as we discussed is that is is in an other persons hands now and our guess is the MEB has found me unfit and just needs the ratings. No word on how long it takes there.

I was found unfit on Jan 11th and get my findings today so it can happen fairly quick.
 
I wish I knew as well how long it takes. She said shortly. But I'm glad I at least found something out. I know that the VA made a decision on Feb. 10th and sent it to the board. Then the board sent it back to the VA on the 21st.
 
Mine was received at the PEB on 11 NOV and then the VA got it on 7 JAN. I am still waiting on the VA. Should I/Can I call the VA? I was told like a month and I should hear something from the VA. When I call my PEBLO I just get the same answer..."Its with the VA." Ebenefits says Pending Final Decision. But it has said that for over a month now.

I am really worried. I want to get out and get on with my life.
 
Call the VA and ask them if they have sent their proposed ratings back to the PEB. If they did, ask them when. This information they can give you. If the PEB has your proposed ratings, then your results should be soon.
 
Guiret28 or anyone else, do you have a VA # that we can call to ask specifically about our packages "at the VA for Final Decision" point? Or is it the generic VA #?
 
I just called the number and spoke to a very nice woman. Sandy. She was great, first i found out i was found fit. Oops that was the first PEB back started in 2010, finalized on March 2011. Now found out that PEB #2 was found unfit and was sent to VA for rating on 26 Jan, but i found out the Navy is recommending seperation but the VA ratings were 50% retirement for DoD and 80% VA i just wish this would already be over.
 
Well Found out today (called the # and talked to Sandy again )... well yesterday actuall,y that my VA ratings have been sent back to the MEB at the Navy Yards. Its back in the MEB's hands. Now the question: Anyone know the timeframe of the MEB recieving the VA ratings and me getting notified? I am really getting stressed out here.... Thx all.
 
Slorcoe, When did the board recieve your file? Mine was recieved on DEC 6th. The Va told me almost 2 weeks ago that i would be recieving a letter with my proposed ratings. I too called Sandy very nice woman, she definatly needs a raise for helping us all out, last thing she told me last week is that my stuff was at the VA and it was sent out to on 26 JAN, so here i sit awaiting too. I have to write my PEBLO this week hopefully he has heard something. I told Sandy i would call back in a couple of weeks if i hadn't heard anything.

17NOV11 ish Navy Yard rcv'd my MEB
12JAN12 MEB requested the VA to provide findings/ratings
5MAR12 MEB recieved VA findings and is now in the works to get me my findings to Corpus to then let me know. I don't know this turn around time... thats what I am trying to find out myself.

I had one of my shipmates whos timeframe, around 12 JAN MEB requested his VA stuff, like mine gi this results back form Corpus last week. But hten he had a lot less to ask for from the VA.
 
So i am roughly a week or 2 behind you. Ok so you are waiting for what from the PEB the 199? You woudl think it would be very quick and your PEBLO should have contacted you right? Or did you find this all out from Sandy? I think the PEB has to concur with the VA in order for you to recieve the message, i think don't quote me on that. But I know that since i am doing a little digging, if i don't here from the PEBLO, i'm going to call constantly.
 
From what I was told now the magic is the MEB uses the VA's ratings and merges the info. How fast that is I don't know.. then the MEB contacts Corpus... then I get the call. 199? Dont know what that is. My PEBLO is AF and is cut off from the Navy side at Corpus as they have taken me as their own... as soon as Corpus knows anythign they sadi the will contact me... i bet I will know before my PEBLO =)
 
I can't believe you are at the mercy of the AF. At least i have had Navy from start to finish. Well they don't merge the info, they propose 2 ratings,1 for DoD and 1 for the VA when you get out. Yeah i think its stupid that we can find out more and quicker than the PEBLO.
 
Dont know if I mentioned it but I called her on the 29th and you guys totally understated her. She was AMAZING and SO NICE!! I would recommend everyone call her. However with that being said I would remain patient. Meaning if you just had your package sent to the board last week dont call her 2-3 times this week!! Dont ruin a good thing that everyone has here.
 
I called my PEBLO on Friday and he said he didn't hear anything back about my board yet. I called today to D.C. and was told that they have been waiting on my decision acceptance since March 5th.
