Hello everyone i hope someone has some guiadance about a matter that has arrien for me. i am currently in a MEB waiting for my VARR to return and my ets date in 22 Nov of this year and i have filed for a medical extension my company CDR has denied it and beyond that i dont know where it is or how this works. Can they deny a medcial extension for a MEB or what are they supposed to do about it. any information would be very appreciated

I am sure that they cannot seperate you during the IDES process and maybe the commander is banking on you getting a decision prior to your ETS date. I would suggest you contact your PEBLO and inform him/her of your situation and ask for their help in this matter.

Brandon, call your PEBLO and tell them what happened. They can call higher-ups and get the commander straightened out. It is part of their job. I'd also recommend doing an ICE complaint on the commander not following the MEB rules.

Indeed, I concur! It's definitely time to ICE up that commander immediately!

Your commander may have denied it due to the fact it was not channeled properly. You need to go through your PEBLO. And also needs a doctors recommendation before being forwarded to the commander.

I know this is an old post, but just for future reference of SM needing to extend. You need to initiate this extension through your PEBLO. Your chain of command has nothing to due with this extension, the only thing they have a part of in this process is that PEBLO must notify your commander of your extension. If you are active duty army, your extension will be approve by a hospital commander and sent directly to HQDA. It took a week for mine to get approved and 10 days for it to show up on my ERB and LES.
