I am in the Air Force Reserve. I deployed in 2022. Returned in 2023 after 8 months. Was sent for Fit For Duty report. Was found unfit for duty due to PTSD. FYI - I was 70% VA service connected for PTSD prior to deployment.
Medical lets the NARSUM expire. I was told they’re only good for 6 months. I have an LOD PTSD.
Was told I would be sent back for another fit for duty report in July 2024. Just today - I was told I will NOT be getting another fit for duty report and that I am not medically cleared via text from our base social worker.
My Chief has 0 information for me at this time. Apparently there was a meeting regarding this between medical and the unit commander.
I have 0 idea if I have any rights? Who should I go to for help? Am I getting jerked around? I was going to do an IG request. But not sure if that is the right step or action to take??
