Military medical Retirement Pay

Hey all,

Last day of army was 27th of July yesterday where I was medical retired at 100%. My question is when in the world will I get my first military medical retirement check? I understand the VA can take a long time. Also when do I get my last active duty check?

Final pay can be issued any day now, or possibly on the 1st, your retirement pay takes about 30 days post retirement, first payment can be issued anyday of the month and then 1st of each month until VA kicks in

Thanks for a good responce. i just figure by now like usual I would see it pending in my acct. i appreciate it. maybe aer loan would help.
 
My VA ratings were finalized about 15 days after they were submitted. The Army still owes me 23 days pay for retirement, if I do not see it on the first, I'm gonna do a pay inquiry.

Timeline: Medically retired DoD May 7th. 100% VA P&T, 40% DoD. Ratings finalized mid May, to begin June 1st. First VA deposit July 1st.

Welll I hope mine is that quickly. Just got final pay.
 
Mr. Farmer, did you ever get paid your medical retirement monies 30 days after your retirement date? we will be in the same boat after 30 Oct.

I was given 100% P and T and was MED Retired ar 40% after serving 9 and 1/2 years. Should I be getting both??? Because I am not.
 
Look at you retirement account statement. Your disability retirement is probably being offset completely by your VA. If you are eligible for CRSC, you might get some of the offset back. Is any of your VA comp for combat related conditions?
