SeaLawyer-That sucks you have been waiting since the beginning of August. I have seen timelines on this site where people get the fit/unift within 2 weeks or less of getting to the PEB. And some of those were submitted after or around the same time ours were.
Dr_de - I called my MSC (she is the one I met with at the VA to get the C&P exams scheduled). I am hoping she was accurate in what she told me about my ratings being done. It does match what she told me at the beginning of the process. At that time she told me that the VA would do the ratings as soon as they got my exams and just sit on them until the DOD came to them with an UNFIT. I will give that number a call tomorrow. Who is the LT Cdr that it reaches? Someone with the PEB?

They said this way they will not come after my bonus. They were both really nice so if anyone needs to talk to them don't worry.

I don't remember the Lt. Commander's name, but it's a line to the PEB office. Give the number a call tomorrow and see what he tells you. All he really said to me was that he couldn't go into specifics, but it's in processing so expect results in 2 weeks. Yeah, I don't understand why it's taking so long, but my LIMDU assignment is pretty cake anyway. Let me know what he says please.
Would that number cover USMC as well, id just like some sort of update, even if its that they haven't started looking at it yet. i signed my narsum and sent the package up early august, and i haven't heard anything at all, all my peblo says to me is they will let me know when they hear something.
I just spoke with the LT Commander. He was nice but didn't really tell me much. He says that they are looking at my package but that they have a backlog because of a recent tech refresh that caused some problems. Those are fixed now but still catching up. He did not give me an estimated completion date. He also said it is likely that the VA has initial ratings done but that might not mean anything because they will probably relook at everything once they are notified of my (hopefully) unfit condition.

Yeah. Sometimes he gives more information than others. He told me once exactly what department my package was in and how long it might be there. Apparently mine is at Quality Assurance which is the step before it gets to the VA. Hopefully that means I will be found unfit soon. The PEB has had my case for 4 months now and I still don't know if I've been found fit unfit.
I just found out this morning that my case was sent to the VA on the 15th. Hopefully I get my rating back soon. I am already past my EAOS by 5 months and really want to separate. Is anyone else having an issue logging on to Ebenefits?

I haven't had any issues logging into ebennies. After 3 months at pending decision approval, today it changed to preparation for decision! Hope you hear something soon.
i have been waiting for 3 months just for my fit/unfit memo. my peblo says the same thing to me. I also called that number and he is very helpful indeed. does anyone have a clue why the long waits? there are a few posts on here that say they sent there package up the 3rd of October of and got there memo back not even 2 weeks later. from that I cant believe my peblo when she says its the new electronic only system that they are moving into.
also I have spoken to the VA MULTIPLE times and that all say the same thing. they do have the ratings done because they receive the C&P exams the same time if not earlier then the PEB. a guy in my unit got in unfit memo Monday of one week and his rating the following week Tuesday. so I do believe the VA already has and knows the rating well before if not close to the time you get your UNFIT memo.

I have no idea why some take longer than others. Could be severity or injuries or conditions maybe? Or just luck of the draw. Seems like the other branches move much faster than the Navy PEB as well. Hope you hear back soon.

@SeaLawyer you claim process took a step back. PDA is step 6 of 8 PFD is step 5. I wouldn't worry though ebennies wont "complete" you claim till they receive a copy of your discharge paperwork. so it will say anything until your full out

Yeah, I forgot to include that in historical claims they updated that it was closed and decision notification sent. However, any update is good news to me haha. After being stagnant for so long I'm happy to see that something is happening, even if it's backwards.
My status changed to Pending Decision Approval. Hopefully since the VA has had my exam results since June, the decision process won't take so long.
Our packages must have been sent up around the same time. I waited a little over 3 months for my unfit as well and finally got it today. Ebenfits has been on gathering evidence the whole time for me but changed to pending decision approvalI haven't had any issues logging into ebennies. I used the "chat with the VA" on ebennies to talk to them. For paperwork, I usually contact the VA guy that originally setup my claim. Otherwise I would use 800-827-1000.
Every time I try the "chat with the VA" it says "Your inquiry is important to us. If you are trying to reach us within our service hours, we are experiencing a high volume of chats. Please try us again soon." I have never been able to get through. Same goes for that number. It hangs up on me after notifying me that all representatives are assisting other callers.
