My VA case closed December 3rd, didn't start post VA/QA until 17 January and still waiting

How did you all see your proposed rating? My PEBLO won't tell me and the VA when I call won't email them to me

I said "I looked online and it said my proposed ratings were going to be mailed to me, however I won't be home to check the mail (which was true), anyway I can get this soft copy - I understand it's all tentative, nothing is final, and its for a rough ball park". They (VA) emailed it to me. I did not mention MedBoard/PEB any of that etc as it didn't come up during the conversation and I didn't advertise it.

My Peblo will not tell me either. My anxiety is through the roof. I am so eager to know. She says the VA has not rated me yet. I’m confused cause everyone else knows at the time of narsums.

I don't think that's accurate. My NARSUM was complete and it was with the PEB/VA for over 6 weeks before my case even closed.

Are you saying it is not right that they knew the ratings? I’m not sure how it goes. A lot of people have told me they had a proposed rating. So I was expecting that as well.

In theory I assume that's possible, but your NARSUM is signed by your referring provides after they review your medical record and VA notes. With my VA notes, the doctors that did my NARSUM non-concurred with some VA diagnosis and lumped them as secondary to other conditions. The way my paperwork was done, seemed like they reviewed the DBQ's however that doesn't mean that a rater has gone through your entire claims package and completed your ratings. Most of the NARSUMs that I've seen or heard of are just that - the Narrative Summary from the Navy side and separate from the VA side.

Oh ok. I’m army. All my referred conditions were listed along with things I claimed. From that list the VA added 4 more things. And whoever prepared my narsum added it. So I had a paper of medically unfitting conditions and medically fit conditions which was the rest of the things I claimed. Everything is so different from branch to branch and people to people. I can never put a finger on how it’s supposed to be done. But as far as I can see mine and yours is the same way.

I find it weird how the Army has the fastest timelines for these boards and how generous they are at adding conditions to benefit their Soldiers. The Navy is like the opposite.

They don’t do that? I figured it was all the same. Since the VA says what’s fit and unfit. It should be the same all across. But who am I to say? I’m sorry. I’m glad they added more things for mine on the DOD side.
