Hi,
I sat down w/ my MEB Doc on Monday. He had previously reviewed part of my NARSUM with me last week, and completed it for signature on Monday. he won't give me a copy until it's signed by the Deputy Commander of the MTF.

He told me that I had three conditions which exclude me from service:
1.) Herniated disc in my neck (not fixed by disc replacement surgery 3 years ago) with radiculopathy in both hands, supported by EMG exam. He also noted weakness in my left arm/hand (dominant side) as a result of the radiculopathy.
2,) Herniated disc at L4-L5/L5-S1 which was not corrected by surgery JAN 2011. Resulting in severe radiculopathy in left leg and chronic pain in lower back. ROM limited to about 60 degrees forward (don't remember the rest of the figures).
3.) Malunion and osteoporosis of right foot due to a severe break three years ago. Limits ROM to 5 upward (don't know the term) and 30 degrees downward. Causes problem with gait.

Of course, there are about 5 issues that don't exclude me from service, OSA w/ CPAP and RLS. Mild depression. Tinnitus. chronic bursitis in left hip, aggravated by radiculopathy and gait from right foot.

I'll add more technical terms when I see the NARSUM this week (or early next week). I'd like a little input, if possible, about what the PEB might determine.

Thanks,

Did the NARSUM cover all 8 or so conditions with full clinical data to include the minimum data from the applicable VA AMIE worksheets? If not, non concur and request your MEB be done to the proper standards outlined in DoDI 1332.38 and the 14 October 2008 DoD DTM.

To answer Mike, 27 years for pay in USAR, 17 for retirement (IRR phases). I have 7.5 Active Duty years.
To answer Ma Parker, I don't know. It's being circulated for signature prior to my review, at which time I'll consult w/ MEB Outreach SJA here at Fort Wood and another attorney. I'll review the document with your comments at the forefront.

Thanks,
