I've been following this forum for a while so I figured I'd post my timeline too:

Referral Date: November 1, 2022
C&P Exams Completed: December 2, 2022
Case Sent to PEB: December 7, 2022
Found Unfit: January 25, 2022 (could of been earlier but this is the day I was updated)

Still waiting on ratings. However, I originally put in a BDD claim before I decided to go through with the PEB. It was completed on February 7th. So, I'm hoping my IDES claim will be done soon as well. In total, I claimed 11 conditions.
 
I’m 147 days in PEB… 97 days since I was found unfit in November. You’ve got a quick timeline! Hoping you don’t get stuck anywhere.

That's crazy, it seems like the AF and Army are relatively on schedule during the IPEB > unfit > VA ratings > back to PEB portion. I wonder if the VA has separate rating divisions, like some allocated for Army, some for AF, some for Navy/Marines? It would make no sense to have a divison at the VA rating level but at the same time it doesn't make sense that Army/AF gets their ratings so much faster than Navy.

Raters are regional and non branch specific but the PEB is handled differently branch to branch.

Did you meant you were found unfit on January 25, 2023?
 
Might be a dumb question, but how do you know when /if you are found unfit?
I haven't heard anything from anyone since my package was sent up to PEB.

The PEBLO’s get updates as to where your case is every few weeks at random intervals. If they tell you that you’re waiting on the VA for ratings, that means you’ve been found unfit. Reach out to them every 3-4 weeks and ask for an update on your status.

Thank you for responding! The last email I recieved from my peblo was that my package was completed and sent off to PEB, and that the "fit/unfit" decision would not be determined until May.... but after reading a lot of peoples posts on here, I am seeing that people seem to get the unfit finding within like 2-6 weeks of submission to the PEB. So I was just curious how they got that update. I will reach out to my peblo and ask if there is an update!

Yep that’s how they get it. My fit/unfit took about a month. It depends though. Usually not more than 2 months I believe.

You can call the VA and if your claim is in the "decision phase" that's proof you were found unfit and the VA is working on proposed ratings
 
I actually called today and was told I was in the decision making phase on my IDES claim. I feel like that’s pretty good since it’s been less than a month since I was told I was unfit.

What number did you call so i could use it please, also what region is everyone in?
 
I’m in Virginia. I just called the normal VA disability hotline. They essentially read from a script every time you call to tell you it’s being worked on. I put in a BDD before I went through IDES and it’s closed and I’ve got a percentage already for that. Today I checked my mail however, and they sent me a letter saying the BDD won’t be processed because I have an active IDES claim which makes sense.

"We can't use your actual ratings, we need the propoooooosed ratings"

Oh perfect! I'll probly end up doing that since my PEBLO is the worst at responding to emails.

So, I emailed my PEBLO and to my surprise he emailed back! However, all his response said was; "No update yet....try again in April"
Kinda discouraging. But I guess I will try to maybe call the VA to see if they can at least give me something more than that.
Is it really that backed up that you dont hear anything at all for 5 months?

When was your package sent to PEB? Mine was sent late September and I received findings late January. I was found unfit mid-October though. The rest of that time was VA ratings.

mine was sent the beginning of December, I definitely know I still have a long ways to go before I hear anything back as far as ratings go, I was just hoping to at least know if I was found unfit yet or not so I can know if it is with the VA yet. I think it would make me feel slightly better knowing there is at least some progress being made. Drives me crazy not knowing or hearing anything at all haha

I’m sure you probably have been. You could always call the VA hotline and see if they say you’re “in the decision phase”. That seems to be a good indicator. And yeah I know it sucks not knowing what’s going on, it drove me crazy as well. I just had to figure out ways to distract myself so I wasn’t constantly thinking about it.
