Hello everybody. a brief timeline of myself
problems: PTSD, chronic low back pain
feb 2012: MEB'd out of AF with a 70% TDRL rating
March 2012: VA comp/claim filed
may 2013: VA findings rating of 40% for PTSD, chronic low back pain and right knee pain
dec 2013: TDRL re-eval
jan 2014: TDRL findings TDRL to Permanent retirement
combined 40% which is 30% lower than when i got out. They stated my PTSD didn't occur in a combat zone (which it did. Iraq 2005 running down the road with army marines and EOD)

my question is am i going to lose money? i currently receive $1250 from the AF and $650 from the VA. i have no idea whats going on. any help would be appreciatd

Yes, since your DoD retirement is greater than your VA, you will receive less. Did you apply for CRSC?

The percentages is not the point, its the monetary amount that counts.

Indeed, since your DoD retirement dollar amount is greater than your compensation VA dollar amount, you will receive less.

I like to tell myself my "TBI" isn't serious at all, but I just can't wrap my head around any of this DoD/VA pay stuff and I've been lurking for months...
