Please, I need help to understand this.
I was E4 since 2021. I was never promoted before being Medborded out from Active Duty in February 2024.
Today, I got mail from DAFS states that I'm E-5. I'm confuse.

LOL you REALLY wanted to make sure someone saw your posts! You were promoted on last day before being medically retired because you were on the promotion list but were not promoted due to being medically retired. So they promote you on the last day so that you get to say you retired as a sergeant instead of specialist.

Thank you for your response... I was confuse... Before I was never promoted and did not even now about until DFAS sent me the letter for SGT... I am Air Force.
 
Congratulations. Unfortunately it will not help your pay which is based on the average of your highest 36 months of pay.
 
It is sad to me that promotions earn are held to the end of the PEB process. Weshoul take better care of our own who are wounded, I’ll, or injured.
