Need Some Help from Jason on IPEB findings

I did my TRDL Reevaluation exam back in July and just received my IPEB findings and they suggested permanent retirement which I'm fine with. I'm not sure on whether to appeal or submit a written rebuttal to change my rating which is 50%. The TRDl exam was for Insterstitial Cystitis, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Mood Disorder w/ Depressive Features.
I was rated 40% for Fibromyalgia and 20% for Insterstital Cystitis with a combined rating of 50%. I don't understand why I didn't get rated more because of my CFS and mood disorder impacts me just as much as the other two. On my current exam my MHAQ was .675 not sure if that matters or not. I currently recieve 50% from VA but waiting on the reeval results and am unable to work so I filed for SSDI. Do you think I should concur with 50% or do have a chance to get a higher rating? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Suzanna

Suzanna,

Welcome! How many years of service do you have (counting only time prior to placement on TDRL)?

For many members, getting above 30% from the military may not matter for increased compensation. Those with combat related injuries or with 20 years or more of service may be eligible to receive both military and VA compensation and for these members, a higher rating may be to your advantage.

If you are eventually rated from the VA at 100% (either from the schedular rating or for Individual Unemployability) you will likely not do better with an increased rating from the military. However, it would take more information about your circumstances to say more.

I was in about 8 and 1/2 years. I'm happy and thankful to have found this great site and thanks for replying.

If you feel that the findings are incorrect then appeal. You should continue to receive what you getting now. They gave me 20 for Fibro and I appealed without a second thought. Along with other things not being rated correctly. I hired Jason and am going to war to correctly get what I deserve.
Regards,
DD
