Well here it goes
I was discharged in 2009 after acquiring 4 fractures in my spine.
I received a spinal fusion with no facet (ladder structure) on my L1 & L2
I tried my hardest to regain my ability to walk though horrible pain and tribulation but was never able to walk normal while i was still active to this day.
The doctors always thought it was attributed to my spinal injuries while i was on active duty and trying to get back to full duty prior to my release date in 2009.
I could get on a elipticle machine an pass prt that way but still was unable to walk.
I went to tons of physical therapy appointments and nothing ever came of it.
During this time I am putting thousands of milligrams of alternative pain medications into my body and taking narcotic pain relievers as well.
I was continually wrecking my car coming to work mostly falling asleep at the wheel or passing out from pain and running off the road.
No one cared the fact that I could not walk and had issues being able to drive to work.
In fact I received a multitude of parking tickets for parking on lower base and not walking the half mile to the area where I worked.
I made it through though and received a 40% retirement from the navy.
I got out in a horrible condition in serious chronic pain, unable to walk, and depressed to the point of suicide ideation.
I received no social worker or aid in my transition back to society besides the classes you go to at the end of your enlistment, that I was unable to lucidly attend.
So I get out and arrive home and go to the VA to try to get some results.
Unable to walk barely able to talk, unable to control my bladder, in horrible pain, and sweating uncontrollably.
My heart beating out of my chest, I go into the VA C&P doctors office.
Not only did he rate me employable at 70% disability but he found a vascular necrosis in my hips, after my request to x-ray my entire body.
Witch he happily complied with.
So since 2009 I have had 3 surgeries on my hips and been going to rehabilitation for my gate and balance.
They found TBI and scoliosis also just the other month.
In the last year I have been able to stand up again on my feet not for long but long enough to go in a store and by something if I lean on stuff inside.
I hate canes and walkers.
I am going back to school in the fall for social work.
I have not been rated for my hips, TBI, and scoliosis.
what i have been rated for is :
10% for arthritis in my right hand
10% for my bladder
10% for my spine
10% for acid reflux
50% for depression
What I need is someone serious that really want to help me get all of my problems sorted out.
They are major issues that are going to affect my life for the next couple of years at the minimum longer if i can not find someone who really wants to help.
I have been to the DAV.
I gone to the VSO.
I have called lawyers.
The issues are real and major and are directly related to the VA
