How long did it take for you to go from code 31 to code 37 and if you wouldn’t mind describing that process?
I started being seen for sleep apnea in April of 2024, which gave me a code 31. Not sure if that's for everyone, I'm a flyer and you can't fly with uncontrolled SA. It was not getting fixed over the following year so I added other medical conditions I was deferring until retirement and eventually that caused me to go to a code 37 and MEB recommendation in January of 2026. So about 20 months for me.

20 Feb 26-AMRO board referred me to IRILO
24 Feb 26-PEBLO assigned, contact via email
26 Feb 26-First meeting with PEBLO
26 Feb 26-Met with MH doc to help develop NARSUM
2 Mar 26-Met with commander to develop CIS
5 Mar 26-NARSUM returned from doc
10 Mar 26-CIS returned from CC
11 Mar 26-PEBLO sent RILO to AFPC/DPMNR
24 Apr 26-FL4 returned directing full MEB (44 days)
MEB Phase: (34 days)
29 Apr 26-PEBLO meeting. Signed SHA, elected IDES
1 May 26-VA MSC Appt, signed 21-526EZ
5 May 26-Leidos called and scheduled 5 C&P Exams(7-13 May)
7 May 26-General and chest pain exam
11 May 26-TBI exam
12 May 26-Audio exam
13 May 26-MH Exam (All exams complete)
20 May 26-VA MSC and PEBLO have my C&P Exams. Sent me the DBQ's to review.
1 Jun 26-PEBLO briefed me on MEB results. (took 24 hrs to review NARSUM for accuracy)
2 Jun 26-Signed 618, referred to IPEB
PEB Phase: (27 days to orders in hand)
3 Jun 26-First FSS email saying AFPC has the package and reviewing it
8 Jun 26-Proposed VA rating 100%. Finally got someone at the VA to email me a preliminary decision letter after a couple calls
12 Jun 26-2nd FSS email/Met with PEBLO to go over results. DOD 50%/VA 100% P&T
16 Jun 26-signed 1180 accepting PEB results.
18 Jun 26-VA Exit interview complete
30 Jun 26-Orders finally! 17 Jul final out/5 Oct retire
