Nerve Conduction Study / EMG Required for Radiculopathy

About a month ago, my EMG exam showed sever damage to the radial nerve (Left Arm and /Hand). I can’t currently open my hand. Consequently, I was referred to the MEB not only from my results, but also limited range of motion with flexion or extension. I just submitted my VA claim yesterday. Not sure how long it takes to start appointments, but I am ready to begin.

Any advice you can offer will help to provide good insight.
 
From what I’ve seen, Nerve Conduction Study and EMG can definitely help confirm radiculopathy, especially when clinical findings are unclear. They’re useful to differentiate nerve root issues from peripheral neuropathies, but not every case strictly requires them if imaging and symptoms already align well.
