New Army National Guard process?

I live in Boise, Idaho going through the MEB process, and I have been found "unfit" for duty by the PEB at MAMC in Ft. Lewis, Washington.... calling MAMC is like trying to call Mar's. Nobody's home.

I'm in stage 2 of six total stages, but now I've heard that the MEB process for M-day, National Guard soldiers has changed? All of our paperwork is being sent to Florida, and we may have to start the process over?

Anyone heard about this?

Of coarse some soldiers are being notified, but not I. When I call our Medical section NOBODY is answering phone calls. Frustrating for sure... maybe it's time for an IG complaint and/or a letter sent to my senators.

I've been in the "formal" process for seven months but started the paper work a year ago.

Same thing happened to me. My package was being processed at Ft. Sill, OK when they decided to send all M-Day National Guard packages to the newly opened Reserve Component Soldier Medical Support Center in Pinellas Park, Fl. This center is pre-processing the packages before they go to the MEB/MTF (mine's going to Ft. Gordon, GA). It's part of the new Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) pilot program. Sorry, but sounds like you and all other M-Day soldiers get to go back to go and start all over. Sounds to me like a way for the Army to "re-start the clock" on each soldier's DES process so they (the Army) can look like timeframes are being met.

You can contact the Reserve Components Soldier Medical Support Center via email at [email protected]

Ditto for me. I have been trying to contact ANYBODY for information, but after 3 e-mails to the RC-SMSC with no reply back, I'm getting extremley frustrated (been going through the MEB process for over 2 years now with worsening health issues. Does anyone in the Army even care?).

Frustration for sure....

I took the poll yesterday for sure.

I'm glad I kept detailed notes; it sounds like it's time to write a letter, and go see my congressmen and senator's.

TWO YEARS! Through the MEB process; WOW that is crazy man. I just don't understand how we fulfill our requirements, going to war, come home and we can't even get out of our enlistment contracts, we still have to drill (sitting playing solitaire all day) and we can't get out. I wonder what would happen if the media got a hold of this...........

So very frustrating...... I sent a letter to each of my Senators and to my Congressman. I just received a phone call from my Congressmans' representative and she said that they were dropping my case because I had contacted my Senators and they thought that it was "overkill" to have all three looking into this. I'm also a Federal Technician and my health has gotten to the point to where I either quit my Federal job (and lose all of the benefits) or take a chance and hope that this thing gets resolved soon. I guess that I'll just have to be patient.
