New Duty Limiting Conditions after MEB

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to get a better understanding of what my current medical profile means and how it might affect my assignments, deployability, and overall career path. Haven't received much help from my medical team on base so I thought I would turn here again. Current 469: AAC 31 / DAV 41: Temporary — No PCS / No deployment and ALC-C / DAV A. "Service member has been returned to duty with the following restrictions: Member may be assigned or deployed to CONUS (Hickam and Elmendorf included) facilities with fixed medical treatment and/or appropriate treatment or referral capability. Member should not occupy a mobility position but may be assigned with approval of the gaining MAJCOM Chief of Medical Staff or Chief of Aerospace Medicine".
What’s the usual process or timeline for re-evaluation for these codes? Any help or insight from those who’ve dealt with similar profiles would be appreciated, just trying to understand my situation and next steps clearly. Also for some information I'm currently Active Duty AF and 2W171 personnel.

Did you go through the IRILO and they returned you to duty with assignment limitations? I believe they re-evaluate that every year to see if condition has changed or has progressed to need another IRILO to see if they want to pursue the MEB. Your situation though seems to be what it says, you can only stay where you are, or Hickam ( im there), or Elmo, or CONUS. You will not deploy while that code is on you, but if they really want you to MAJCOM has to approve. Hope that helps, also im a 2w171 also.

Thank you for your response. I was returned to duty in September with a C-2 limitation code. I’ve been in contact with my PCM, but since he’s been very busy, communication has been limited. I wanted to follow up regarding the outcome, as I recently applied for a Talent Marketplace position within CONUS. I was informed that there wouldn’t be any medical concerns, but my application was ultimately denied.
For context, my IRILO was related to a new medication I receive every two weeks. It must be refrigerated and is provided through a specialty pharmacy. This medication is a lifelong treatment.
