My claim went back to Gathering Evidence... it says:

Items needed:
QTC LA <----? Requested 12/14/2012----------- Due 2/12/2013

I was talking previously with Eagleone on this site... I am wondering if, from what I have been told this is not a referred condition, can the VA still send the proposed ratings back to the PEB and get this process moving forward? or are they going to wait for this before they finish the ratings?

Anyone know what LA means? I am guessing it has something to do with the back, considering i was told by the VFW Rep that has my POA, that the VA needed a Back Mobility test done.

Guessing it means Lumbar Assessment.

Thats what I would think too, they'll need ROMs for a correct rating... You should be notified by your PEBLO of the appointment when it's made for you. But, to be on the safe side go see your MSC to notify them and see if they can help coordinate for the earliest appointment possible to help expidite your packet.

If it was not a referred condition for your board, they can keep your PEB going. You will get a 199 without the back condition and move on. Then it will just take a lot longer when you get out to get your final VA ratings as they will need the ROM.

Was the back condition listed on your NARSUM as "fails to meet retention standard", or was it listed as a claimed VA condition? That is going to tell you if it will hold your board up. If the PEB wasn't looking at it as a fails, then the PEB can move forward without it.

I just called QTC today and had them decline the ROM and tell the VA I did not need it, because I don't. They just looked at my med records and said "oh you have had back spasms?" I said "yes, once..." so they added it. I will just go to the VA when I get out if I really need it for my back, which, is unlikely, it feels great. I just need this process to move QUICKLY, I am wanting to take jobs.. and cant.
