Today had my second Range of Motion test. Can anyone help me understand how the below numbers/results fall in the percentage charts.

Movement Position ROM
Flexion Standing 30
Extension Standing 10
Side Bend Right Standing 25
Side Bend Left Standing 30
Functional test score: ODI 51%

Need more info. Is this for the thoracolumbar or cervical spine? I suspect it is Thoracolumbar based on the "standing" and "bend" notations. If so, your forward flexion supports a 40% rating. Note that the exam was incomplete if this is all they noted. The required measurements are of "forward flexion, extension, left and right lateral flexion, and left and right lateral rotation." There are 6 measurements in the standard exam and your results only indicate 4. However, if you think that the 40% rating is what you want and is a good assessment of your disability, you may not want to challenge this. The decision should be made between you and your legal counsel based on consideration of all the issues in your case.
