Now just waiting for message traffic for PDRL date and orders!

I would not bother with the 1000 VA hotline, just be nice to your MSC and give them a call every week or so when you get towards the end. They can tell you a lot more information.

Bonus VR&E Timeline:
Mid March 2024: Applied for VR&E through VA.gov
*radio silence*
10 June 2024: Got a random text saying I was assigned a VR&E representative
*radio silence*
10 Sep 2024: VR&E rep finally called to scheduled an appointment
20 Sep 2024: First VR&E appointment
9 Oct 2024: Second appointment
18 Oct 2024: Third appointment, approved for masters tuition funding
11 Nov 2024: Accepted to grad school
19 Dec 2024: Final appointment with IDES VR&E rep, received copies of my authorization

I'll be in grad school full time while I wait for my retirement date. Highly recommend people apply for VR&E as soon as they leave their MDB.

I’m also in San Diego. I keep seeing people mention MSC here and I’ll be honest I don’t know who that is for me. All I know is my peblo and lawyer. Do you mind explaining who the MSC is?

MSC is the Military Services Coordinator who starts your VA claim process while you're in IDES. They are the one you sit down with (or over the phone) shortly after being referred to the MEB and go over all your claims, not just your referred condition, and create your VA Form 21-526EZ. They then take all your claims and request your C&P exams. You meet with them after you attend the MDB. You should have a PEBLO, IDES attorney, and Military Services Coordinator.

My MSC is up in Camp Pendleton providing support for the large number of cases here in San Diego, at least at the time. They are employed by the VA so they have direct access to the VA's system so they were a helpful resource for me. If you don't know who they are, your PEBLO should be able to tell you because they talk to each other.

Thank you for refreshing my memory. I had completely forgotten I sent my claims to someone during this grueling process. Hope all goes well for you!

Just received notification from the VA about my proposed ratings that are dated December 2024. Was told by the VA that my PEBLO should have gotten these but my PEBLO says they haven't. Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know what my next step could be? I'm totally confused with this now due to what the VA and PEBLO told me.
